i have changed my reservations about a million times in the last 24 hours. a ressie for le cellier opened up and that just had a cascading effect. i was able to get chef mickeys, change my whispering canyon cafe time, book a meal with a group of friends who will be there at the same time, and now i cant stop tweaking. i cancelled coral reef for le cellier (hope i dont regret it) and cancelled liberty tree tavern for chef mickeys. i have made a cancelled chef mickeys for lunch and dinner when a breakfast became available. this is just nuts, i thought the disboard addiction was crazy but changing my adrs is even worse. :confused3. help me recover please

This might shock you out of it.....

Every time you change your ressie you run the risk of the system "glitch" and everything would be lost.
Or at least the one you are working on.

The system has been known to have some major glitches at times.

I'm just like you. I do this for every single trip. I know its hard but try to remember in the end you will pick what you pick and you may like some and not like others. You can always go back later and try the place you missed the 1st time around. I have never been to Le Cellier but I want to. I have been to Coral Reef and I honestly loved it. Either way, you picked 2 of the best and you can always do the other one on another trip if you can't fit both.

aw, go ahead and have some fun! This is probably the least harmful addiction you could have...:surfweb:

I change my reservations about once a week - sometimes because our plans change or the park hours change or my # 1 choice of place or time comes up. I just changed Marrakesh lunch to Via Napoli lunch for our September trip. And added Via Napoli dinner to our January trip (DS will be with us then, and he loves pizza)

DH just laughs every time I say, By the way, instead of X we're going to Y. So far, he's pretty much loved almost every Dis restaurant so he doesn't care what I set up...just assumes he'll like it.:thumbsup2

Well, I started making ADRs the first weekend in June, using the temporary glitch in the on-line system. When my actual 180 + 10 date came up I rebooked everything because I am paranoid and feared they might eventually decide to not honor ADRs made under the glitch. That was apparently a needless fear because many on here never worried about that and they all still have their original ressies. But like I said, I'm a bit paranoid. :confused3 I was still able to get everything I wanted within 15 or 20 minutes of my original times.

I've made several small changes since then. Every time I make a change my DH asks if I'm ready to give him the spreadsheet with the dates, restaurants, times and confirmation numbers and I say "no, not until I am able to book the CPP." That's when I'm pretty sure I will not make any more changes.

Add me to the support meeting as well. I had my ADRs all set at the 180 day mark, but the opening of WWoHP changed all that. We are cutting back our 4 days in WDW to see Harry Potter and that completely messed up my beautifully laid out plans. So here I am 2 weeks before our vacation, rearranging our schedule - I just gave up Le Cellier, Coral Reef and Crystal Palace. Now I am checking the online system faithfully a few times a day to see if anything good pop up for our WDW days.

was it a crystal palace breakfast?
(quickly opens other window to check:rotfl:)

I'll take a seat too please.

I have everything we want for the times that we want them.
Tusker House breakfast
Flying Fish dinner
Kona dinner
1900 Park Fare breakfast
San Angel dinner
Chef Mickeys breakfast
50's Prime Time lunch
LeCellier lunch
Teppan Edo dinner
Crystal Palace lunch

We leave in 12 days and I check the online system several times a day and I don't even know for what? :confused3

I know im the same way, if i find something im constantly changing my schedule around. My husband thinks its funny but he doesnt mind as it keeps me busy. lol. As of now my schedule is more than great, i got everything i wanted but there are always better days for certain places and thats what makes me always change things around. I had all choice of everything i wanted at times i wanted at the 180 day mark, i then decided about a week ago to push our trip up by 3 more days so i did get to keep my most important reservations but had to make up for the other 3 days at the end so of course as slots are becoming available at the last minute things have to be changed around. Luckily I have gotten some great places the other 3 days with my constant persistence.

:lmao:

I change my reservations about once a week

Oh Catne, now you're just looking to justify yours :lmao:

I haven't actually touched mine in the last four months. Although I did add an extra one tonight and I'm thinking of dropping one - big dilemma. :headache:

Let's face it, if you are on the DDP you either plan your park days around your ADRs or you plan your ADRs around your park days. In 6 months a lot can change. I don't see a problem with it, as long as you get what you are wanting.

Here's the problem. You think you know what you want 6 months before the trip. 3 months before the trip you start to get a better feel for what you might like. 2 months you think well, i better make sure I'm happy with all of them b/c that is really when the good times start disappearing. 1 month "THE BEST ADR EVER is available!" "Quick, let's book it." "But-wait that screws up this ADR this night but we can move it here if it's available..."

Been there, done that. :lmao:

So true! I think that is why I try not to mess with them at all. You can't just change one without upsetting the whole chain of them. As you say, plenty variables in 6 months: menus change and suddenly one of the restaurants that was a special ADR for one of your party incredibly has nothing on the menu that either of you would eat. Or UG releases the new Crowd Calendar 2.0 and everyone wants to change their park days. This is exactly why I do my TS OOP. Half of my TS ressies are at places not on the DDP and they are somewhat easier to change around - especially during free dining.

thanks everyone at least i feel better now. i think tomorrow i will stay off the computer so i am not tempted to change anything else. and then monday i get to do my single digit dance:yay:

If you are at SDD stage already I think you should treat it as a sign that your reservations are final. ;) Enjoy your trip (and your meals). :goodvibes

Count me in :) :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Once I made my character meal ADRs, I have not changed them nor have i changed Kona Cafe or California Grill. But I have changed the time and cancelled my Yatchsmans and LeCellier ADRs three times each. Also, I have changed the time of my Il Mulino ADR. This new system just makes it so easy. I have to admit that i spend most of my time in the restaurant section of the disboards. Just have to have that disboard fix every day or so.

Me too! I had it just like I wanted & now I keep thinking of another place I want to try...drives me nuts!:rotfl:
It is really hard to know where you want to eat months in advance when we're the type of folks that have trouble deciding where to eat on a saturday night & we're already in the car driving to town! lol

I know what you mean. 180 days is a long time to be thinking if you made the right choices.

Personally for me, I wouldnt do the same restaurant twice. There are too many restaraunts to experience before doing repeats on the same trip. Other than that, go with your gut. I made mine at 180 and have literally been sitting on my hands for 115 days to not change them!

65 more days to go...
