We have booked a standard view YC room for our August trip. It's all paid for. Our TA asked specifically for a non-parking lot standard view, but that doesn't mean we'll get it; last year we asked for Samoa or Fiji at the Poly and ended up with Rarotonga.
First, with the ME drop off, is YC/BC just on the loop with BW?
Second, I always hope for a little pixie dust and an upgrade--has not happened once--but am I right in assuming that since the AKL refugees are filling up a lot of the hotel openings, the odds of getting an upgrade are even worse this year?
Third, are the standard view rooms the ones furthest from the lobby and stormalong bay?

they are closer to the lobby. Or at least some are.

in the morning and when the park closes - you are only sharing with BC.

the other times - especially late morning, early afternoon - you are sharing with all the Epcot buses. - D&S, BC/v & yc, and BW.
