1. We're getting married at the wedding pavilion May 6th 2011. If we were to stay at say Animal Kingdom Lodge for May 5th, 6th and 7th, how would we get to the Grand Floridian on the morning of our wedding to get ready? ( we're having it at the wedding pavilion )

2. How do we get from the reception back to our resort after its all over?

Would you not just get ready at AKL? I suspect you would have to book a room if you wanted to get ready at the GF.
If you are having an Escape wedding, a limo charter is included with your package to transport you to the ceremony and then to the reception. If you are having a Wishes wedding, you will need to book the transport through your wedding planner.
As for after the wedding I guess it is down to you how you get back. You can probably arrange transport in advance through your planner, get a taxi or use Disney transport.
After our VR we are having our reception at Citricos and we plan to take the monorail back to our resort (BLT) all decked out in our wedding finery!!! I think it will be fun, even though it is only a short journey.
BTW I am having my VR on May 4th 2011 and will be in WDW on your wedding day so I may just have to stalk!!!!

We had a limo that took the boys to get their pictures then came and got the girls. As we walked in the GF the Boys walked out another door so we did not see each other. At the end of the night you can have a town car pick you up for $25. If you are worried about your guest there are buses you can rent as well.

Jack and his best men are staying/getting ready at AKL, a limo is going to pick them up and bring them over to the GF.

My girls and I are staying at the GF, so I'll have to be careful not to leave the room until I know they've left the lobby! I might send my Dad down to talk to him though!

If you're staying at AKL wouldn't you get ready there? The limo picked me up and took me to the GF for pictures but we didn't get ready there bc we didn't have a room booked there. You'd h e to make your own 2-night reservation and check in the day before if you wanted to get ready there.

My fiance was thinking she could order the vintage car or is that similar to Cinderella Coach where it just does staged entrances and exits but won't actually drive you to the reception or from your resort the morning of to the wedding pavilion?

You certainly can hire the vintage car through your planner. We had the vintage rolls Royce and it was fabulous. We're not limo people. We also stayed at AKL and the car picked us up and took us to the GF for the ceremony.
