hi all i hope you don't mind me posting and im sorry if im asking similar things to others but a complete newbie with disney and could do with some advice.
Myself and dh with our two sons 3.5yrs and 14 montsh are looking to go to dlp either christmas this year (prob a few days before or in between christmas and newyears :santa: ) or wait until summer 2008 and go when ds1 turns 5 years in august.
My concerns about going this year is ds2 will be to young to enjoy everything (will be 2 march 08) but finding it so hard to have to wait til next year lol)
If we wait til aug 08 i know the boys will prob enjoy it more and we will have nicer weather but will it be too busy with school holidays ect and will it cost alot more. I am trying to find some prices for next year when do these come out?
also sorry one more quiestion do we go for 3 or 4 nights. Is 3 enough or would 4 nights be better?
ok sorry for the amount of quiestions just after some info
thanks in advance!
clare:)

The prices in the christmas season are also very high.

About the crowds I know from expirience around Christmas its very very crowdy.

Hi Claire and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, posting guidelines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

Don't worry the DLP board loves questions :goodvibes

You would all enjoy Christmas time at DLP. Even your youngest :goodvibes

On our first visit with DD she was around the same age and she had a ball.

Yes as she has got older, 10 in August each trip has been a different experience. That's her again on the right :)

Given your ages I think you would find 4 days better as you will probably want to go back to the hotel for a nap :)

We took our daughter for the first time when she was 20 months and she loved it! The 3.5 year-old will take more in and be able to appreciate it more but I would still go.
Christmas is an amazing time to go but I would avoid school holidays. They have all the Xmas entertainment, parades and shows on in early December as well so I would go then as it will be blissfully quiet then. Also avoid weekends as they will also be busy.
Have a look here for more info on the Xmas season. It's my favourite time to go!
We always go for 4 nights as this gives you 3 full days in the parks which is good if you want to see everything and do your favourites again!
Hope this helps!

Go at Xmas, Go at Xmas:cheer2:

We took dd4 and dd 13m first ever trip december just gone 13-16 (4n/3d) it was fantastic, well worth it, we were due to go back again this xmas but MIL 60th this year so are going in july:banana:

It is so worth it the atmosphere was amazing just avoid the sat/sun rush, we went weds-sat and hardly queued all week (5 mins for its a small world) was brill but saturday was manic never again

it was SOOO good words can't describe

Hi Clare, welcome to the DIS! :welcome:

Christmas is the most magical season but between Christmas and New Year is even more busy than the summer holidays so if you decide on going then it would be better to go before Christmas and avoid weekends. As the others have said the earlier on you go in the Christmas season the less crowded it will be.

I would also opt for 4 nights too. :)

We visited DLP for the first time a few days after new years this year, and the parks were absolutely empty. We were able to walk right onto every ride, and managed to do both parks in one day. It was a bit of a marathon, but if you dont have a lot of time it can be done...
