Hi conventioneers!
Based on some of the suggestions in my other thread, here are some tour options to consider. I am currently checking to see if we are able to get a discount for these too.

1) Keys to the Kingdom (approx. 4-5 hours with lunch, but price will be less and time shorter w/out lunch and a discount)
This amazing tour will take you all through the Magic Kingdom. You'll learn amazing facts about the various components that make up the "happiest place on earth", and even experience some of the attractions AND then get to go beneath the MK into the Utilidors.
Current cost is $58 and admission to the Magic Kingdom is required. If I am unable to get a discount, there are discounts for DVC members, AMEX, AP holders, Disney Club and Cast Members.

2) Hidden Treasures of the World Showcase (3 hours)
Explore the art, architecture, costumes, customs, cultures and history of EPCOT'S World Showcase Countries and take a peak behind the scenes.

Current cost is $59 per person and admission to Epcot is required.
If I am unable to get a discount, there are discounts for DVC members, AMEX, AP holders, Disney Club, AAA Diamond Card and Cast Members.

3) Yuletide Fantasy (3 hours)
Departing from MGM, guests take a behind the scenes peek at Disney's transformation into a magical Christmas fantasy. There are guided tours to theme parks and resorts, hear stories about the themes of the Yuletide decorations and how Disney elves transform the parks and hotels into an annual winter wonderland.
Current cost $59 and theme park admission is not required. If I am unable to get a discount, there are discounts for AP holders, DVC members, Disney Club, American Express White Glove, AAA Diamond Card and Cast Members

Anyone thinking of doing a tour can "unofficially" sign up on this thread and as soon as I have a definite price and if there is enough interest, I will book them.
Thanks
CC

Just wanted to say that I have gone on #'s 1 and 3 in the past and am signed up already for #2 on my own. The tours are great, this will be my 7th one. The normal discounts are 15%, with DVC at 10%. As always, Disney can change those anytime, but they have been that way for several years now.

I posted on the other thread that I already reserved the Yuletide Fantasy tour (for myself) for Dec. 3rd - the same day as the MVMCP I'm attending.

I'd be interested in doing one of these also - probably not the EPCOT one cause I think that would be one that my dd would get the best enjoyment out of so I think I'd rather do that with my family when we get a chance. Other than that I am game for either 1 or 3 but #3 really strikes my fancy given the time of year we are going to be there.

I am a DVC member and DC member so if we need to use our discounts, that can be done for me.

Thanks CC!!!! Oh, I don't know if this would help but I'd like to do one of these maybe on the 4th when things haven't really kicked off...if you know what I mean.

I'd probably be interested in Tour #3, since I've already done Keys a couple of times.

Hi, Cathy. Thank you for the description. I was trying to find them on the WDW site and I couldn't find them.

I think that I would be interested in the Yultide Tour and the Keyes to the Kingdom, but I understand that a lot of people have already been on te Keyes to te Kingdom Tour.

Ray :D

Hi Cathy!

Kevin and I might be interested in a tour. We did #1, Keys to the Kingdom, 2 years ago and really enjoyed it! :D :D

We tried to do #2, Hidden Treasures of the World Showcase, a year ago, but it was full. :( :(

So, we would be interested in either Tour #2 or Tour #3. They both sound fun! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Hi CC I really fancy the Yuletide but don't want to commit myself until I see how the itinerary and mini-meets shake out so I'll hold back for the moment if that's OK.

BTW the Keys to the Kingdom is a must to those who haven't done it.

I'm saving for the whole day backstage magic when I go back next year last time I looked it was quite expensive

Bumping up, I have 2 more for Hidden Treasures. Anyone else?
CC

I did Hidden Treasures and it was one of my favorites. I liked it better than Keys, but Epcot is one of my favorite parks. It is tempting to consider doing it again..... I think that my final decision will depend on the schedule!

One of the deciding factors in which tour to choose may have to do with when they are offered. The Epcot Hidden Treasures Tour is only offered on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 10 am. The Yuletide Fantasy tour is daily at 9 am and the age restriction is 12 and up. The Keys to the Kingdom Tour is offered daily at 8:30, 9:30 and 10 am and is limited to ages 16 and up.
I'm not trying to complicate things, but I highly recommend the Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour, especially if you have any interest in Walt Disney and the history of the creation of the Magic Kingdom. Here is a description:
The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains, a Magic Kingdom park tour, explores Walt Disney’s passion for steam trains, while giving Guests the opportunity to join the opening crew as they prepare for the daily railroad operation at the MAGIC KINGDOM.
The tour highlight is the train trip back to the roundhouse with an up-close and personal look at one or more of our locomotives, but the experience is also rich in history about Walt Disney's lifelong fascination with steam trains, how we acquired our four old locomotives, and the operating procedures we follow to serve our annual ridership of over 3 million._ As a souvenir, guests get an actual spike from the railroad.
Offered Monday, Thursday and Saturdays at the MK turnstiles at 7:30 am and ends approximately 9:30 am.
The cost is $30 plus tax and theme park admission is required. Guests must be at least 10 years old to participate.

It was a wonderful experience that Linda and I enjoyed very much. And it was a special treat to enter the park before it opened and ride the train for the first time before the guests arrive.
Whichever tour that you decide on, it will be an enjoyable experience! Keep me in mind, if you don't want to keep the souvenir tour pin! ;)
