Some thoughts...

so. I'm deciding to take a hiatus from the TB. I feel like there's much more hostility than there used to be and this has become an environment I no longer want to be a part of.

call me an idealist, naive, whatever, but part of me is broken by what this board has become. maybe i just haven't come on here enough recently to keep up with what's going on on the social hierarchy of the TB, but it seems like something has changed...and it's not a good sort of change.

on almost every thread I go on there's arguing, anger and that really makes me sad. I know I've contributed and that's part of what makes me sad. I'm not this person in real life. this board seems to bring out some of the worst parts of me.

if anybody wants to chat with me (although it seems I've managed to alienate most of the people I think of as friends on this board), you can find me on twitter (@pattimalone) or facebook. I'll still be around on the boards, just not the TB. I really hope that when--and if--I choose to come back, that this board is a little more like the one I remember from a few years back.
