than they are in practice.

Our rent went up Sept. 1 with our new lease term. Our property manager offered lots of new things for our apartment. Great. New bathroom floors, new kitchen floor, new stove & dishwasher, new faucet fixtures in both baths & kitchen, new light fixtures in the bathrooms, new ceiling fans, carpets cleaned. She also offered new kitchen counter tops and interior paint, which we declined.

I scheduled all this work because I knew if I didn't plunge in & schedule it that it would never get done. Bathroom floors were redone last week and look very nice. Kitchen floor was replaced yesterday. Floor looks fabulous, but the guys messed up the ice maker when they moved the fridge. DH is an ice hound, so he is mad. New dishwasher came today (without the stove, which was also supposed to come today) and it is in the middle of the kitchen waiting to be installed! 2 separate crews of guys do delivery & installation. Nobody told me that! DH is mad about that, too. Not to mention that we have a cabinet/armoire sort of thing that belongs in the kitchen but is currently in the middle of the living room so the appliance guys wouldn't have to manuever around it. There are nails poking up through the carpet where the carpet meets the new flooring in the foyer, which DH is mad about BUT he hasn't bothered to call and tell the office. The cat walked across the glue for the flooring and now her toes are stuck together.

Of course all of this is MY fault because I agreed to have all the work done. DH was apparently happy with institutional tile and old appliances. Except for the stove they are saying everything will be done by the end of this week. Let's hope so! I have other things to worry about next week. Like the recall on my car because the engine could spontaneously stop running due to some faulty switch. :sad2:

I feel your pain, but the line about the cat cracked me up. :lmao: I have a weird sense of humor when it comes to cats. Here's some pixie dust for getting the work done quickly!! :wizard:

She is a really old cat, so she doesn't really seem to care. DH is really irked that I didn't lock her up while the guys were working, but it didn't occur to me that she would walk across the glue! I was here the majority of the time and she was right beside me (at the computer desk) or in the living room. How was I supposed to know that as soon as I left she would go tromp through the glue? Lucky for her she is a short-haired cat. Our other cat has miles of fur, especially between her toes. If she had walked in the glue she would still be stuck there!

Your DH seems irked about a lot of stuff, but doesn't seem to be helping to rectify anything. Perhaps he shuold have locked the cat up himself? or stayed home to speak with the worker guys or stopped at the store to pick up a bag of ice???
