Just got this email - We've got great news – Seasonal Pass blockout dates have been lifted June 10 – 30 and August 1 – 13, 2017 at Universal Studios Florida™ and Universal's Islands of Adventure™. Start planning your next visit now.

We are planning a trip to Universal May 13-17 and I was looking at getting Seasonal Passes but the note about not being able to enter the Studios on days there are concerts scheduled caught my eye.

Where can I find a schedule of the concerts. I tried looking on the Uni website but have been unable to find it so far.

Any help is great appreciated!!

Thanks!

We have Seasonal Passes and I believe this is during the Mardi Gras concerts which were Saturdays and some Sundays this last Mardi Gras season. I found it difficult to find a official list and I can't find the calendar from my phone that I had used previously. One positive is that you only blocked out of USF and not IOA if there is a concert. You should be good for either park in may.

Information I can find says Mardi Gras ended March 25. I have no idea if there are other concerts going on though. I have only heard of them during winter holiday season and Mardi Gras, but I can't say for sure there isn't a concert that Saturday. Highly unlikely though.

Usually they do a summer concert series when nothing new opened so probably not for the next few years.

I called today just to make sure and they said there are no concerts currently scheduled. The person I talked to only mentioned the Mardi Gras ones.

If you are there on a day when there is a concert and really want to go to the park you can always decide to upgrade at that point.
Thats the way I have always worked it - and I have never had to upgrade.

Thank you for posting, hadn't seen this

While it's nice for seasonal PH, it's has drawback in that it will increase the crowds dramatically during that time period

Many have already purchased/renewed APH specifically because those dates weren't available with a seasonal pass. For a family those costs can add up quickly.

Let's hope a whopping increase in the price of said seasonal passes doesn't happen now, with justification being there are more dates being offered.

I have the same line of thinking that the powers that be may push VB being a mandatory 3rd park (large increase in price) vs an option on the APHs. Guess we'll know soon enough how that plays out. :confused3

IMO think the June & Aug increase in days are likely intended to encourage guests to not hop on down to see avatar instead.

You're probably right. I initially got the AP for the room discount, but ended up with a second trip and possibly a third to check out VB in August. I have no plans to renew it.
