Is there some kind of aquatic park in Canada not far from Niagra Falls? Looking for info on it if there is. TIA

Yes ! There is a Marineland in Niagara Falls, Canada. It is not exactly like Sea World, but is a nice way to spend a day. They have rides, and lots of animal exhibits. They have some very nice shows with the dolphins and killer whales.
Hope this helped.

Ok great I thought when we were at Niagra Falls years ago that I had saw signs for something, and the kids have been asking to go back to Sea World, do you think this Marineland would do for a substitute? Do they have shows like Sea World or is it just exhibits that you walk thru? And would you say that it all could be done in a day? Thanks

It's been about 6 years since we were there, and they may have added things since then, but it is similar to SW, and there are shows with the dolphins, whales, etc. My kids were 3 & 5 at the time, and we spent the whole day. There are more rides than SW, but there were some they weren't big enough for so we decided not to go back until they were both able to ride everything. The website is www.marineland.ca.

I'm going to move this to the Community Board for you. I'm sure you'll get all the info you need there. :)

We went in the summer of 04. It was an ok way to spend the day but I wouldn't go back. There is a ton of walking between exhibits/rides. My children, who are tall for their ages, weren't big enough to ride the rides. (They were 5 and 3 at the time.)

They had alot more fun in Toronto. (There is a Paramount park in the 'burbs)

LOL. I didn't see your post. Sounds like we had a similar experience!

I love Marineland (or everyone loves Marineland depending on how often you have seen the commercial :) ) We have gone so many times. It is very small and quaint, but a lot of fun. Very small park but a great rollercoaster!!

ETA: They have a newer area called Friendship cove. I think there are manatees or belugas there now, but at one point it was a killer whale petting are. It was very cool to touch one (even though it was just a baby)

From their website:
You'll meet friendly giants of the sea

Let's all go to Marineland®'s Friendship Cove® where you can make friends with killer whales. The largest whale habitat in the world, Friendship Cove is surrounded by walkways for above water and dramatic underwater viewing of these amazing marine mammals. Best of all, guests can have the chance, and unique thrill, of being able to feed and touch these friendly ocean giants.

Also they have a petting zoo and we always loved to feed the bears.

That clown guy FREAKS ME OUT!

I have the song stuck in my head now.

My kids are 10, 8 & 5 ranging from 46" to 57" in heighth, would you say they are too small, or too big? I looked a the web site it must be too early for them to list prices since I couldn't find anything anywhere regarding it. What about the camping there anyone know about that???

I found a map from 04.

Magic- 46"
Dragon Mountain 48"
Kandu Twister 40"
Sky Hawk 32"
wave swinger 42"
flying dragon 52"
hurricane cove 42"
tivoli rollercoaster 40"
space avenger 28"

Looks like for the most part you'll be ok. For the life of me I can't remember any of these rides except the big coaster that my kids were too short for.

IN 04 adult tix were 37.69, kids 32.69. (That is what it says on the tix but we may have had coupons)
