If you don't mind booking through expedia, it appears that room only rates are now available on expedia. I did some searching around and was able to find both value and moderate, but not deluxe or home-away.

The rates appear to be the same as will be offered tomorrow with BDP; e.g., I saw $55 for Allstar and $85 for POR standard and $100 for water. They are identified as "Great Escape" rates.

There are some downsides to expedia. You have to pay in full in advance. It's the same 5 or 6 day cancel policy, but you have to pay $25 to cancel. You also can't put room requests right on the reservation. It also looks as though if any of your dates are blackout dates, you can't do a partial. FWIW, I recently booked a WDW discount stay through expedia and was very satisfied. I couldn't get a BAT rate at the GF, and booked the "fall promo" rate through expedia, which was the same thing. I was treated exactly the same by the GF and in fact was upgraded.

I did not go all the way through to confirmation on expedia on one of the new codes; maybe it won't let you confirm. But it's worth checking if the expedia policies don't bug you and you don't have the time or nerves for tomorrow's phone lottery.

The great escape rates that are on expedia are good into April, because I checked the first week of April and got $114.00/night for PO standard view.

What I saw on expedia was $85/night at moderates for standard view and $100/night for moderates with preferred view. This matches the info we've seen so far for tomorrow's code. I only checked for January and February. It was called a "Great Escape" rate.

A $114 rate for April is pretty weird. That sounds a lot like the equivalent of a AAA rate. It's close to exactly 15 percent off rack rates. Interesting; you usually don't see stuff like that on expedia.

Actually it's closer to 25% off the rack rate of $169/night. It was identified as a "great escape" discount.

The 114 rate is for mid Fed to April 16 which is peak season. Rack for Moderates in peak is 169.

Wow -- that's great. I wonder if expedia will actually let you book that. Expedia is turning into a pretty good option for finding discounts. No long-distance call required!

The only downside is the 100 percent advance payment and the $25 cancel fee. For a several-night stay, though, the $25 penalty pales in comparison to the savings.

Lark, where are these great rates on the website. I can't find them.

herc -- I just tried random dates in January and February.

The best way to do an expedia is search is start by entering your dates for orlando. After a list of hotels comes up, go to the box on the upper right where you can modify your search and put "disney" in. This brings up the WDW hotels. I found stuff mostly at allstar and POR for many dates in Jan and Feb. Nothing for deluxe.

I haven't checked for the new discounts, but with the last batch of discounts for the remainder of this year Travelocity also had rooms available. Someone may want to check that out. When I looked a month ago, I want to think that they had a better cancellation policy - basically it seemed they had Disney's policy (also had just a 1 night deposit as well with remainder due at check-in) I know it was one of the two, and if people are seeing a pay in full policy with Expedia then it must've been Travelocity that didn't when I checked.
