Background:
We will be staying at ASMovies (unless some incredibly wonderful code comes out and enables us to stay at FW in cabins :rotfl2: ) - 4 rooms booked (7 adults, 4 children 9yo and under).

(1) Would Dreams Unlimited be able to get us a better rate than our room-only CAA code (already booked at about $89/night/room incl taxes)?

(2) If we choose to add park tickets and make it a package, would that help our rate or not?

(3) At ASMo, what is the procedure for the following:
~ Check-in (we'll probably be arriving quite early in the morning at MCO and will book ME service)
~ Check-out (can we store our luggage somewhere, as we probably won't need to be at MCO until mid-afternoon or so)

(4) How does the gift shopping deal work? If we buy something at, say, a shop in Epcot or AK, do we just leave it and whatever we buy will be in our room later? Do we pay for whatever we buy at the time or is it just added to our room bill to pay at check-out?

(5) Regarding the resort mug, I assume we buy that first-thing (lol) for using at the resort - but what types of beverages can it be used for (is it just for pop or can I use it for coffee?)? Can we use the mug in the parks too or just at the resort?

(6) We'd like to attend the MNSSHP once while we're there. What is included in the ticket price? Has anyone gone to this recently? Is it frowned upon if we're not in costume (packing for the 4 of us will be difficult enough, without having to add in a costume LOL)?

Thank you all sooooooo much for helping me out with my newbie questions - your DISness is much appreciated! :woohoo:

1. Possibly but you can also be on watch for codes yourself, and you can book the AAA rate on room only through Disney directly, assuming it is available for when you are going and where you want to stay.

2. Adding ticket, makes it a package you can only book a AAA package through AAA, but it may not be the best if a code comes out, you CAN call AAA and apply a code but be sure your AAA does not charge you to do this.
It only saves you money IF they have a special on packages and if what you have booked complies with the offer.

3. Check in and if the room is not ready then leave your luggage with the baggage dept. Rooms are ready by 3pm usually.

4. you make purchases in the parks, pay for them however you are going to either charge to your room card if you set that up or cash or credit card etc. fill out a form and they are delivered to the hotel. you can't do this your last night there.

5. You can use the resort mug only at the resorts and only for the trip in which you buy the mug. you can get soda, coffee, tea, and cocoa.

6. You do not have to be in costume at the parties. you can get into MK at 4 pm with the party ticket which means if you dont' have park hoppers you can use your regular ticket on another park that day and then get into MK on the party ticket.
The park has special decorations, special parade and fireworks, and trick or treating.

I used the room only a couple of days ago for All-Star Sports. I saved about $40. These codes are on the Dis in the section DIS Site Updates.

Oh yes, I'm watching for codes, but I'd imagine I'll have to wait quite some time until codes that are applicable for October 2008 come out. At this point, the rooms are booked using our CAA 15% discount.

Thank you so much for your reply - I appreciate it!

Thanks for your reply! Our trip isn't until October 2008, but I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for codes as we get closer to our vacation :thumbsup2
