Some random questions for an almost first timer

You guys have been great about answering some of my questions so far, so I figured I'd put down some of the more minor ones I was wondering about (I'm sure someone on here knows the answer.)

1. Lockers- Where are they located? Are they spacious? How much do they cost? And most importantly, do they allow in and out access or is it a pay each time kind of a thing?

2. I've heard that characters in DL don't normally have handlers- is this true?

3. How widespread are the photo pass photographers and what are some of the locations they hang out it? I know main st is a given but I'm wondering if they are in fantasyland, fronteeirland, etc...

Thanks in advance! Can't wait to see DL after all these years.

There are lockers in both parks and in the Esplanade. In DL, the lockers are on the right side of Main Street, just past Starbucks. In DCA, there on the right side of Buena Vista Street, just past the entrance. On the Esplanade, they're to the left of the Disneyland ticket gates (when facing DL). They come in three size...regular, large, and jumbo. I think they're $7 for the regular and $10 for the large. I can't remember the price for the jumbo (maybe $15), but they're aren't a lot of those available. You set the code when your rent the locker and then use that to get in and out during the day. You can go in and out as much as you want without having to pay. I normally rent a large locker and it fits one of those re-useable bags easily.

I've seen some characters with handlers and some without.

In my experience the photographers are harder to find at DLR than at WDW. At WDW they always seem to be there. Not so at DLR.

I cannot remember seeing photographers in in Fantasyland or Frontierland. Ever. Mostly Main Street and int he hub.

At DCA they seem to be easier to find for some reason.

We've seen a lot of non-handlered characters this year. I don't know if they've increased them or we've just been lucky, but we've seen quite a few.

For example, on just one day in March we saw so many non-handlered characters we were talking about it. On that day, none of the characters at the entrance had handlers, there were 5 out. (On our way out that evening, we noticed the characters near the exits did have handlers.) During the day, we saw non-handlered Alice & Mad walking between the Matterhorn & subs lagoon, Mary P & Bert in the hub, Fairy Godmother entering Fantasyland and Pluto bouncing around Toontown (he bounced up to our table out of the blue.) We also saw 2 Stormtroopers in Tomorrowland with one handler between them, a handlered Goofy in Toontown and Tiana with a handler on Main Street.

We're not big on the formal meet & greets but love the random meetings, even if it's just seeing them out and about in the park without going up ourselves. The Stormtroopers are impressive. The downside of course is that it is pretty random and while guest services may be able to give you an idea when & where characters show up, it's not a guaranteed thing like the formal greets. Good luck!
