Please don't perpetuate this myth that you're cheap Jazzman. This is a shot of Jazzman's carryon luggage from the last 3 day cruise he did!!! He will be bringing extra for the 14 day cruise!!!.
Can't wait to enjoy the hospitality from Jazzman's cabin

Yes, Natdencro we had Deepak as a server. We didn't find out until the last day unfortunately. The first day is always very busy and so not a lot of additional time for chatting. We went to Palo on our second night and missed Gemma (darn!). Then by the third night his assistant was ill. I could tell that it made it much harder on him. From what I could tell, it appeared that each of his tables was assigned a different assistant from a surrounding table. It made it so that a lot of that great rapport was lost but we didn't blame them, it was just one of those things. Nothing in life is perfect and people can't help becoming ill. I just didn't want to take time away from him to chat because I knew he was extra busy trying to cover and do the work of an extra person. We finally asked him if he had a family back home on the last day and he said no but that he had a girlfriend named Gemma who worked up in Palo! Of course bells went off and we had a good time discussing the DIS. He sure is cutie with a beautiful smile.

I've always enjoyed the company of those from across the "pond". I think the husband warmed up to me when I understood the difference between someone from England and Scotland! It really was a great cruise.

Am so glad you had a great time. Poor Deepak told me that he had been rushed off his feet - due to assistant taking ill. Shame you missed Gem, but maybe NEXT time! Also glad you noticed the difference between English and Scotish people! Even WE have trouble with the Scottish accent!Haha. Hope you got lots of great photos on the cruise! Best wishes. Nat

For the soda stickers, during the Land/Sea vacation, can we get them at our resort and then use them on the ship? If so, how much would it cost?

Also, do ALL sodas/beverages/water on the ship need to be purchased? I thought the cruise was all-inclusive.

I'm new to DCL and cruising, in general, so I really appreciate this board and everyone's insight!

Soda is included with your meals in the restaurants. There is no soda offered in the Beach Blanket Buffet (juices, teas, coffee). However, if you have a soda mug, you can go across to the bar for the soda before you enter the buffet. Soda is also not provided at Cookie's Barbeque on Castaway Cay. But again, if you have a soda mug, you can go over to the bar on the island and get it filled.

On Deck 9 there is a beverage station which is free. It includes purified water (very good and safe), juices, tea, coffees and lemonade. That opens early in the morning and stays open until around 11 p.m. On some of our cruises, they have put danish up there first thing in the morning.

There is a cooler in every room (like a fridge, but things take longer to get cold). We usually bring a six pack of coke and a six-pack of diet coke and a six-bottle water pack. We just refill the water bottles on Deck 9 at the beverage station and put them in our fridge. If you and your family are not big on soda, then all the juice, coffee, tea and lemonade are free.
