we are planning a couple days at WDW then want to transfer to US/IOA area on Weds Nov 25 - we want to tour the US/IOA on Nov25 & TG day. Here are the questions...

1. what is the easiest most time efficient way to transfer from a WDW resort to one of the Universal resorts? It is a busy time - I want a smooth transition.

2. I plan to stay onsite for FOTL benefits - will FOTL make a big difference during this busy TG time - is it worth the cost? If we have FOTL by staying onsite, is it necessary to be at the park before park opening? We would still be in the parks between 9:30 and 10, but if we don't have to leave our hotel at 8 am..... well that extra hour in the morning can be a lifesaver.

3. hopping between IOA and US on the same day - is this a small walk, a big walk or a bus ride?

any insight or experiences always welcome - we have changed our travel ideas a dozen times in the last 2 weeks. its time to start booking if we want to travel @ TG

Answers below:

1.) The easiest way to transfer is probably with Mears...they will pick you up at your hotel and will drop you off at Universal. Check out this link:

2.) Staying onsite with the unlimited Express access is invaluable during a busy time. Thanksgiving weekend is very busy a you will definately be wise to take advantage.

3.) The parks are located right beside each other so you're talking a 5 minute walk between the two.
