This is something we HAVE to do this December. My oldest Daughter loves playhouse disney (although she may ask where Dora is..)

Who is in this show? Is it current to the line up now?

How long is the show?

Are they at set times, or one right after another?

Thanks!

The stories are Stanley, Bear in the Big Blue House, Pooh and JO JO's Circus. It is about 20 minutes long. Everyone sits ont he floor and they encourage kids to get up and dance. It is set times, but i think they run continuous. I am not positive about that though.

We saw this with Gs4 at DL in Oct. He loved it, but cried afterwards, because he was expecting to see Rollie Pollie Ollie. :sad1: It was hard sitting on the floor for all that time, though.

This show is fun and interactive....my 7 year old loves it and even the adults in our group last year were dancing and singing....

The show is at set times, but keep in mind the front "rows" are much better, especially for smaller kids, so you want to get there early. There are also confetti, bubbles and CM "hosts" that come out into the audience and dance, shake hands, etc.

No Olie? I know we saw him, but that might have been several years ago. Perhaps he was replaced by Jo Jo.

Olie? I dont think he comes on anymore.

What about Charlie and Lola, Little Einsteins, and Higglytown Heros?

On Google Video there is a full version of the current show. Rollie Pollie Ollie is no longer in it, Jojo has his slot now.

a tip: as you are leaving the show, ask the cast member at the exit door if your child can possibly get an autograph from Bear. do it VERY quietly and wait for the theater to be almost empty, or they will get swamped and probably come up with a reason that they can't. if they have time, the CM will take your autograph book backstage and out of sight from your children, Bear will stamp it for them!

No Charlie & Lola or Higglytown Heroes. The little Einsteins now have a trailer set up where you can meet some of the characters. The show is pretty good, the kids love it and we see it every visit to MGM.

I work very closely with this show so i suppose i should pipe in

the show is centered around the Bear in the Big blue house characters for which the show original was, tutter is afraid of dancing and thus they tell stories to help him feel better.

Jojo Circus is the next scene feature Jojo , Skeebo, and Goliath (they replaced the Olies a while ago, infact the square headed dad is now a lamp shade)

next scene is a Stalenly scene with Dennis and Stanely

Book of Pooh comes next,

and then the finaly is with the Bear in the Big blue house.

The show is basialcy a big comercial now for playhouse programing. and is designed in sections to easily be replaced.

Disney is still deciding if they want to bring in the Little Einstines yet. If it does they should start in October, either then or the show will be down then to allow for the change. They will most definitly be replacing the Stanley scene if they do.

the show is approximatly 17 minutes in length.

and features a total of 16 different characters.

I completely disagree that the front row is best. It is super-popular, but is TERRIBLE for small kids. Here is why. Everyone is down on a floor. In front of the audience is the stage, up several feet. The characters are on the stage floor. Since kids in the front row are close to the stage and BELOW the level of the stage floor, and the characters are ON the stage floor several feet away from the stage's edge, there are some characters the front-row kids cannot even see.

We learned this the very hard way. DD8 has vision impairment, and we situate her close to the action so she can have a shot at really seeing it. BIG mistake at this show! The adults stayed seated while the kids stood up and danced along. Even standing dd (who was 7 on that trip) could not see some of the shorter characters.

Actually, the square headed character is Olie's best friend Billy, not his dad. :wave2:

DS has fun at this show but we have to make sure to sit on either side about a third of the way from the front for him to see everything seated. The show is about 20 minutes but when we try to get up afterwards our bodies seem to think it was longer because everything fell asleep.

For our last trip they had Jojo, Stanley, and Pooh for the stories.

We went last year to this while my DH took the boys the right RNRC, anyways my mom and I took my daughter in there 10 months at the time to get a break from the heat. The show for little ones is awesome.

We sat in the back against the wall so my mom could sit on a bench and I let my daughter get some crawling on the floor time. Even from the back and off to the side you can see and experience the show.

Roly Poly Ollie and sister can still be seen in the parade at 5:30 p.m. Ollie walks on the left side of the road (if you were walking in the parade it would be left). He shook hands with my DS 5 and he was thrilled.

actualy they are no longer in parade. the Cars characters replaced them.

On Saturday June 10th, the Cars lead the parade, but Rolly Polly Ollie marched in the parade behind the Playhouse Disney and my DS 5 shook hands with him. So, as of June 10th, they had not been replaced.
