I'm just too lazy to write up an entire report right now, so I'm cheating and copying a post I made on a parents forum I go on. We had a blast and can't wait to do it all again!!
What a fun time we had! I was frazzled at times and Nicholas told me I was "overeacting" and that I needed to "focus" more than once I won't lie, it was hard with 2 kids alone. No one helped me with the stroller, etc. The parks were fine, it was the plane and busses that were a struggle. My toddler was THAT toddler that cried for 2 hours straight on the way there. Cried for about an hour on the way back. The bus was torture, Nicholas and I were constantly trying to entertain her to keep her from flipping out. She was/is teething, so I think this added to the frustration.
We didn't park hop, we did one park each day, never went back to the hotel for breaks since I didn't want to endure the bus struggle more than twice a day and Emma was content to nap in the stroller. We skipped AK, and did MK three times, Epcot and Studios Once. We had so much fun at all three parks.
Nicholas rode Splash Mountain, Tower of Terror, Thounder Mountain Railroad and Test Track several times ALONE, but I did fastpass and only went on when the lines were short and that seriously made the trip for him! I was a nervous wreck, but the look on his face coming out of the rides was priceless and it totally made the trip for him He was extremely nervous around most of the characters and VERY shy. I'm not sure why but usually when we walked away he got very excited about who he just saw. We saw the stunt show at Hollywood Studios and he was SOOOOO excited I thought he was going to jump out of his seat over the railing into the show!
We kept asking Emma if she wanted to see a show or ride a ride and she would pick accordingly She went on everything she was able to go on, including The Haunted Mansion! She said Mickey, Tigger, Pooh, Buzz and Woody while we were there! Her and I ate breakfast at 1900 Park Faire while Nicholas went on the Pirate Cruise at the Grand Floridian. He had a BLAST and Emma..well she was in a awe until the Mad Hatter came to our table and she freaked out She loved the Buzz ride and the new ride Toy Story Mania. She was selected as "Boo" in the Scare Floor show with Mike from Monsters, Inc. I think it was the pigtails
Oh, and on day 1, it was NINETY out. By day 2 it got down to about 40-50! We didn't swim once, it was freezing! I was surprised at how low the crowds were Sunday - Wednesday. It was GREAT!! We were able to ride soooo many things and see soooo much in our short stay!
We only did one t/s..that was the character meal. The rest we did counter service and ate breakfast in our room except the last day. I really loved Pecos Bill Taco salads!! We ate there twice
Budget wise...I am mentioning this because I had made another post about eating on $50 a day, and I haven't added everything up, but I think that's about what it averaged out to for the six days. I spent a total of $600 on everything and I think half that was on souvies (went a little overboard!)
Overall, as much work as it was, I would do it again in a heartbeat because the memories we made were priceless
