Please tell me you did not let your brother and husband name a child Satan. That is almost as bad as the child named Adolf Hitler.

I have to agree here....if it is a little girl wow her life will get really difficult at times I would imagine because of her name. Your brother and husband named her but you agreed to put it on the birth certificate.

Mom2 - I do think it's rude for someone to be engaged in a serious topic and then lightly say something about getting her nails done. I mean, if I were speaking to my friend about something serious and she responded by telling me about her hair appt., I would think she was being very rude.

If the person having the issue wants to make a joke, that's fine. But the listener shouldn't make light of someone else's serious situation. That's just my opinion.

Is it possible your friend has something important coming up and needs to get them done? When my son was getting married I was getting freaky because I needed mine done so bad (went longer so I could have them just done) and then everyone was using the car and I couldn't get there. I got real freaked out about it. May sound silly to some but to me it was a huge deal.
I ended up walking to a new place and they turned out to be so much better than my former place so it ended up working out pretty good.

This is what I wanted to ask. Is frined #3 married or have kids? Maybe she felt left out of the conversation and decided to bring up something you could all talk about.

I know if another married friend of mine were with an unmarried friend, I don't think the unmarried friend would be comfortable in a convesation about money, kids and husbands. Just saying....
