I belong to a professional organization that never announces its conference locations before the previous conference (so at the conference I went to last year in Pittsburgh, we found out that this year would be in Scottsdale, etc.).
We finally booked a Disney vacation (I haven't been in 10 years and DH has never been) for this September. We booked on March 30 and will be there for 10 days (September 5-14). I even had to extend it by 1 day due to lack of available flights.
Last weekend in Scottsdale, they announced that the 2010 conference will be ... in Orlando!!
I've already talked DH into upgrading to APs when we go this year and we're going to spend a few days in Orlando (probably at a Value, trying to do this cheap--the conference isn't at Disney) after the conference ends.
Oh and in Scottsdale they also announced that starting this year, they will always tell people *two* years out where the conference is, so they also announced the 2011 conference in Long Beach, CA. What luck that they didn't change that policy before now--I'm sure if I'd known in May 2008 that I'd be in Orlando anyway in May 2010, I wouldn't have booked a trip to WDW for September 2009! So it's perfect timing all around.
