SOME of these towncar services are REALLY stupid

Her point was valid, but really, was it necessary to post? Why pick at someone over a semantic choice?

My problem is that he made a slanderous and malicious statement that broadly condemned every car service in the area.

There are several people here who have experienced the same rudeness with Tiffany and other companies. It's a legitimate problem and he's not alone in his experiences.

And if he had worded his statement that Tiffany was rude, I would ahve absolutely agreed with him. But he made a false and blatantly untrue statement that condemned every car service in the area, which by it's nature includes a lot of really good ones, and I called him on it.

And these are the same companies whining about ME.

It's not like they have done much to keep folks from bailing to ME. I cannot think of ONE towncar service on this board I haven't heard horror stories on.
 
Come on Anne. You have not seen any horror stories about Sunray. Nothing bad about Berkley Edwards and to get right down to it nothing bad about my company. All have been given great comments on their service. Have you traveled on any of the above? No!!! I have never seen a bad post about any one of the companies and to tell you the truth these companies all give 4 star customer service.

The poster did make a broad statement which I did not agree with.

By the way it is car service, not towncar service, and that could be your only way out.
 
It was a lie. If you had said "Why do I feel like all towncar services are stupid" then it would have been your opinion and I would ahve ignored it. But you made an untrue statement that condemned every car service company in the area in a malicious manner, despite having spoken to exactly one, without makng it clear that it was your opinion and instead wording it as fact.

I went on to ASK Is it just me or are all of the towncar companies that serve Orlando VERY rude and unprofessional over the phone and email?

Just a question based on my experinces with the 3 I spoke with. How is that a lie when it's worded as a question?

As I stated, if ANYTHING, I exagerrated. I maybe should have said, "These 3 towncar companies are REALLY stupid." Would that have been a bit clearer for you?

I could go on and on here, but the fact of the matter is, this thread was based on my opinion. That's all. If you feel the need to tear it apart based on the fact that I left particulars out or wasn't overly in-depth, knock yourself out.

WTH are you talking about? For the record, I have seen negatives on Sunray, I've never even heard of Berkley Edwards let alone seen them mentioned on these boards, and I have no idea who your company is. but what does that have to do with anything I've said in this thread?

You made a statement as part of that question. You implied something that isn't true.

A far as technical ability, they suck. That's not subjective, that's objective. They are not good musicians--a fact that they will all freely admit. Their songwriting abilities are far from complex or mature. You'll never see any of them on a best of list for technical competence.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. It just amazes me. It's not difficult to be polite on the telephone. Well, sometimes it can be, but certainly not in the cases I've read about or experienced.

Just for the record...I think you were right in my opinion. It is a shame that sometimes big debates break out and cause hard feelings. Been there!
 
Ummm, I'm not sure if I should even post this info at this point, but here goes: we use Southern Elegance and they have been great. Professional and courteous on the phone, which really means alot to me.

I'm gonna give FLTours a try. I've heard some good things about them. We shall see.
 
I did have 2 problems with FL Tours back in 2003. We were a party of 8 (6 adults and 2 children). We booked a van to transport us to the YC, requesting a booster seat for my younger son. He brought child seat that was in such bad shape and was missing the middle strap between the legs. It was dirty and unsafe but probably more safe than no seat. On our way home a limo came instead of the van. It seemed very nice but with all of our luggage and a double stroller, we were packed in with the stroller in the limo and no seat for my younger son.

Other than that, I will admit that they were on time and very courteous. Our grocery stop was perfect.
 
The sad thing is we used Tiffany last July, and our driver was very professional and courteous. I remember their operators being very rude on the phone then too, but I let it slide. It definitely seems to be an issue with their receptionists answering the phone.

The only thing I didn't like about our driver was that he didn't have a sign with our name on it. We walked around for about 10 minutes trying to figure out who our driver was.
 
It was probably a gypsy up on the 2nd floor looking for a ride. How can you identify he was your driver, unless he had a sign. If you ask any driver walking on the second floor, without a sign, if he is from Tiffany, he will say yes. They are gypsy drivers looking for rides and probably have no connection with the company you are looking for, but will answer to that companies name to get a ride.

Just an update on this situation:

I received a response email from Tiffany, from who I assume is the owner or someone higher in the company. He was kind enough to apologize for the rudeness, assured me it wouldn't happen again, and offered me a nice discount to give them another try.
 
Are you taking the discounted ride? I guess you can assume the owner or higher up watches the Disboards.
