So we’re getting ready for our first cruise ever (7 day Mexican Riviera) and we’ve got some questions…

What’s the best day for dinner at Palo? (So we don’t miss anything at the MDR)
What’s the best day for brunch at Palo? Or does that even matter?
Is it worth getting to port early to try and get a port upgrade?

Thanks everyone!

IMO, I like to get to the port around 1 pm, check in and got in to the ship in less than 30 min (love that). Got in the ship and your room is ready, go and drop your luggage and go for lunch at the MDR.... easy peasy.

Any day for Palo brunch is awesome :rolleyes1:rolleyes1
Only make sure to get only coffee for breakfast :drinking1

Congratulations on booking your first cruise - you're going to love it!

As to the best day for dinner at Palo - no matter what night you book it, you are going to miss something - but that's ok! There is no way that you will see everything in one cruise anyway, and I don't think Palo should be missed. If you do miss something, it's just another reason to book your next cruise! Same for Palo brunch - any day is great - but you will leave there very full! Don't eat too much (or any) breakfast before you go!

As to whether it's worth trying to get an upgrade, that's up to you. I've never tried, because I've always been happy with the category and room that I've booked. You will likely need to be one of the first ones checking in to have any chance of an upgrade, so it can mean an earlier morning and more waiting around.

Enjoy your cruise!
