Some more pictures of updated YC rooms

We were just at the YC from 8/20 - 8/28 and I have a few pictures to share. We were in room 3175 and it was newly renovated. It was near the elevators and a short walk to the lobby.

This is the front entrance from the boardwalk. Sorry that the picture is kind of hazy. Our room was right above the front doors to the left of the balcony with the white square on it.

Here is the right side bed with the desk to the right of it.

Here is the left side bed with the new picture above it. The old picture was the one of the old sea captain.

Here is the daybed with the lamp next to it and the red ottoman in the left corner. The picture above it is new also. It is signed 2002. Loved those pillows!

Here is the new dresser. The minibar is behind the door with sailboat on it. I will admit, while I liked the look of the armoire better, this gave you more room to keep stuff on.

Here is the new desk with the table underneath. It was so nice to have a desk and when we ate breakfast in the room the table easily pulled out. Notice the neat mirror with the knot making a Mickey head.

Here is the vanity area with the bunny and toothbrush holder the maid left. I thought I took a larger picture of the area, but this was it.

This is a shot of the room looking towards the balcony doors.

Last but not least, here is one of my favorite things in the hotel, the Disney Resort Channel. Need to get that Zip a Dee Doo Dah Tip For Today!

Wow, terrific pictures idors8. Thank you for sharing them. What I wouldn't give to stay at Y & B but with having to pay for multiple rooms I guess that won't happen for a long long time. LoL

Thanks for taking & sharing those pictures with all of us! Seeing the new rooms gets me more excited for my trip!! One question - where do you keep your clothes?? Those drawers under the TV look awfully tiny.......

threeboys mom - here is where I kept my clothes, I forgot to include it with the room shots. It is to the right of the closet and the left of the door. The closet is very roomy also, I asked for extra hangers and hung alot of clothes up. Yes, those drawers are very tiny, I used them to keep my souveniers in.

I think I like the new decor. Itseem more in keeping with the theme of the resort, more nautical. Or maybe it's just because I love blue and white

These pictures are making me miss the Epcot resorts area terribly!

Is there now only one chair to use with the small table?

Dixie Luvr 98 - Yes, there is only one chair in the room with the desk, but you have the daybed which is some very comfy seating.

California Dreaming - I was in the gift shop quite a few times, and I don't recall seeing the bedspread for sale. The only thing that I remember seeing was some kind of throw with fringe on it. I did want to buy this though, and sadly, was told it was not for sale. Sigh.

WOW, what great pictures! Thanks for sharing! We will be staying at the YC for the first time in Jan. for 1 night before our cruise on the Magic and after seeing those pictures it makes me glad again that we decided to splurge and finally stay at the YC like DD and I have been dreaming of for a few years!

What type of room "view" category was your room considered? Was it a waterview or standard? I booked a standard view non-smoking for us and asked to be as close to SAB as possible.

Cheryl N. WI - I had reserved a waterview room, and specifically asked for a lakeview. We were originally assigned room 3205 and we did not like the view. It was directly over Stormalong Bay and there were trees partially blocking the lake. We went to the front desk and asked for a more direct view of the lake and were assigned to room 3175. New room was much closer to the elevators and lobby also. The only drawback was that directly above us there were renovations going on. It didn't bother us but one morning when there was hammering directly above our heads at 8 am, but that's another story to tell.
