Great as usual Dan...
When did you buy the new Camera?....
I was thinking of getting the S3 IS for a trip to Paris we are planning and I don't want to bring my SLR's...
Sam, I purchased the S2 back in early November, wanted to learn it for a few weeks before WDW. It is a very nice camera, well featured. Still learning it too. The S3 looks like is has some nice additions, 800 ISO, among them. I did read the S3 has a threaded lens also, the S2 does not, no filters. I considered a DSLR, but way too big for me and I like the preview swivel LCD, got use to that idea with my Nikon. Have a great trip to Paris, Sam.

How did you get the colors so saturated? Did you use a polarizing filter?
I just bought a converter and filter for my baby.
FTC, when I post pictures on the board here, I need to resize them and compress them some for easier loading. I most often use Adobe Elements. When do the resizing, I also click the auto color balance and the auto light levels, both which seem to take the ever-present haze out. I can not use any filters on this new camera as it does not have a threaded lens, but rather uses an adapter, way too cumbersome for me. I did use a UV filter on my Nikon, mostly for protection, and sometimes a polarized for water.

Dan, I was just showing the kids your photos. As you know, Kirk just got a digital camera for his birthday today and he wanted me to ask you what mega-pixel your camera is. He can adjust his to a 5 mega-pixel and wanted to "compare quality". I can see the two of you now during our next trip........you'll be having "flash-offs".
Colleen, the camera is a 5 mp, the new S3 is a 6. Too funny, LOL.
Glad you guys like the pictures.
