Hi everyone!

I'm heading to this for my 2nd time but the first time was close to 10 years ago so it's all new to me now.

1) Could someone that has been relatively recently tell me what is served? I know the ribs and chicken have never changed but I keep reading different sides being offered.

2) My niece and nephew (age 5 and 3) are coming too. I don't think they will like the food so much but I've read that the servers will bring out mac and cheese and even a hot dog if you ask. Will this cost extra?

3) What do you wear? I know it's very casual like most of WDW but what do you usually wear if you are going from your resort to this show? And has it typically been on the cool side in the hall?

I think that's it for now - thanks in advance!

Hi Shannon!

Your neice and nephew will love the show. My kids are the same ages plus we had our 2 year and they laughed like crazy and just love the whole thing. They also enjoy the food! It is still fried chicken and ribs. There is a lettuce salad and bread. The sides are baked beans and we have always had corn with that as well. Dessert is still the delicious Strawberry Shortcake. We had a little guy with us one time that was a picky eater. Our server brought him a hot dog and there was no extra charge.
Most people are dressed pretty casual. Shorts or Jeans. I've never seen anyone there looking like they did a full day at the park, but I've never seen anyone really dressed up. I don't recall the hall being cool. There is so many people in there and with the lights and the performers dancing around and such, I think you'll find it OK!
Enjoy the Show!

We were there two months ago. Fried chicken, ribs, salad, bread, baked beans, corn cobbettes, strawberry shortcake. Everyone was dressed very casually ... jeans mostly. It was not one bit cool; very comfortable!

Just returned this past weekend and enjoyed the show as well as the 15 yr old, 12 yr old and a 5 yr old in the party. They just rolled with laughter. As mentioned previously in posts food is ribs/chicken. Ribs were extemely tender and the 5 yr old loved the chicken legs and corn cobbettes. Beans were just okay and the strawberry shortcake was good. Bread was good and always go after the extra. No problem with any extras needed and drinks were brought aplenty. Belinda

We (myslef 31, dh 33, ds 23mos) went to the 7:15 seating this Monday 3/ 6-we all loved it. My son loved the fried chicken, Me the ribs, and my dh loved both. The sides were corn on the cob, baked beans, homemade bread, and salad. The dessert was homemade strawberry shortcake-and it was so good. The atmosphere was great, country theme and speech.(Howdy, etc) The show was fun, and light humor. (Just silly enough to have my ds laughing so hard-as if he caught the joke) We were seated at table #53 (right in the center with all of the action around us, so maybe it put us more in the mix..but everyone-even the balcony-was a part of the show. I don't know about the mac n cheese, or hot dogs-everyone seemed to be eating the same food. You'll love it, corny jokes and all. We just dont like the transportation there-and that will be the only reason why we wont return (we had an issue on the way back up to the car) Other then the "internal" transportation, we loved it.
