Hiya all!

I have a steak questions......DH wants to try Le Cellier for steak- however, it seems there are some "unfavorable" reviews for this place (also i am a vegetarian- but i am sure if i ask..they can "whip me up something")

can anyone suggest a better place for steak than Le Cellier ??...(i.e. Concourse Steakhouse :confused3 ) or should we just suck it up and try it??

Thank you!

I was not overly impressed with Le Cellier until our last visit, this past fall. I had the steak with some mushrooms and truffles and it was fantastic.

Hubby and I both agree the best steak on disney property is the one served at Flying Fish over at the Boardwalk.

We have been to Yachtsman..with a party of 7 mind you, and all steaks were bad..won't ever return there.

Oh, and the filet at Jiko with the mac n cheese is also excellent.

If you really want a great steak at WDW, then you really want to go do to Shula's. I also was very unimpressed with the mediocre (grizzly, dry, tasteless) steaks I've gotten at Le Cellier. I was marginally more pleased by the mediocre (non-grizzly, somewhat tender, somewhat tasty) steak at Concourse Steakhouse. I enjoyed the steak at Yachtsman Steakhouse (though actually I just had a bit of DW's).

My DH is a big steak lover and thought Le Celler was the great. Concourse Steaksouse was wonderful too but we thought Le Celler was a little better. We will be on the DP for our next trip and we plan on going back to both. If Yachtsman was one TS credit then we would try it but I would not waste 2 TS when you can have a great steak for 1 TS at Le Celler and Concourse.

Some of the more upscale places have great steak as well as the one that don't seem to be traditional steak places.

Last time I was at Artist Point, I had a filet mignon that was out of this world. I also had a filet at Kona Cafe and, while not as fabulous as the one at Artist Point, it was VERY close (and a bit cheaper).

Someone in our party also ordered a steak at Citricos and, again, it was fantastic. All these places basically serve filet mignon. If your husband likes different cuts, I guess you would have to look at some of the actual steakhouses.

Kona also has an EXCELLENT Prime Rib - very flavorful and tasty!

We love LeCellier! The maple filet melts in your mouth and is delicious!

Thanks for all of your help--- this is true- about the other upscale restaurants have steak- i guess i just had "steakhouse" on my mind.

we decided to give LeCellier a try- and i am sure some of the other restaurants we have chosen will have good steaks- Kona is one of them and at Noorcoossees he can do the surf and turf.

i was tryng to choose a menu that also had at least something vegetarian already on it- so that i dont have to ask in advance.

again- i thank you all!

I agree that some of the best steaks I have had at WDW have been at places that aren't steak houses. Our steaks at Le Cellier in January were just not good. We have really enjoyed the filets at Kona, Flying Fish and Jiko.
