Some good news for disney, finally???

Here is a link to story where Salomon Smith Barney has given disney a thumbs up, so is this finally some good news, or not???

I follow the markets regularly and this article is interesting. So many of the analysts have lately been way off in their predictions though so I can't quite take this report all that seriously. Now if other analysts would only follow suit...

"Lack of a clear succession plan for senior management could also hinder share growth."

This last line is very important IMO and makes me think that it really all comes down to Eisner after all.

These are the same analysts that were bullish on Disney all the way down-they claimed Disney would get a bump from AK, from DCA, from Pearl Harbor, WWTBAM,etc. etc...they are as misguided and clueless about how Disney got where they are as Eisner---my advice is anytime you see SSB touting a stock...sell short...

That's great news!! I think we've hit a bottom here with the Disney stock price. This would be a good time to buy Disney stock. Nowhere but up from here!

Sorry Bob. But I suspect that most of us feel the same way now.

I wouldn't count on Disney stock hitting bottom just yet. There's the possibility of war to consider too not to mention the beating that retail has taken this year. Has anyone heard how the Disney Stores have done lately?

Can't see how TDS could have done very well. They're not even glorified toy stores anymore. JMHO

And after reading the article, the feeling I got was they're wishy-washy. So SSB says things are looking to be better. But there sure are a lot of ??? in the mix - ads, ABC, war, film, management...

I think I'll remain skeptical for the time being.
