I are going to stay at the boardwalk the night before the wedding with my BM's, I would like a Photo shoot there before the wedding ceremony, could someone please tell me if the Boardwalk is busy at 1pm in May time? I want to avoid having a ton of people in my photos ;)

We are planning on having a 2.30pm wedding ceremony at the WP, I would guess this will only last 20 minutes or so. After that we would like photos around the WP, this will probably take an hour to hour and a half. We are going to keep the parents of the B&G and bridesmaids behind for 30 minutes to have photos with us. Is this normally what people do?

I would love to have photos at the Polynesion too, how far is it to walk there?

How long does the horse and coach wait for you? I am worried that it won't wait an hour or hour and a half for us?

The parents & BM's will then leave to go to the Whitehall patio for drinks, do people just leave their guests to walk to the convention center? How far is it? Also, has anyone just had drinks for their cocktail hour? There is going to be so much food I am worried people won't be able to eat everything, plus the dessert party in the evening.

Can you access the patio without having to walk through the actual room? Do you think it will be too hot at 3pm in May to be outside for an hour?

When you get to your reception venue, do the bride and groom just walk in unannounced? How are your guests seated? Does the wedding planner do this?

We are bringing our won iPod dock, do Disney charge a set up fee for this? If so, how much is it?

I would also like to know about the dessert party in Epcot. I have been told that the B&G will need special transportation as we will have to meet and the international gateway. I have heard that you are allowed to walk to some locations in Epcot from the park gate as they are not as far, how true is this? And what locations do they include? I would love to ride the monorail to Epcot ;)

Is there a prime area to view Illuminations for up to 45 guests?

Apologies for all my questions, I keep starting a a ton of different threads with the odd question so I thought it wold be easier to just have one. This won't be my last though ;)

Thanks for the replies!:goodvibes

We are having a cocktail hour but it isn't costing us anything more. We are using some of the food already on our menu so it isn't costing us anything beyond what we originally planned.

We are having a 10:00 ceremony, and we should be at our venue after pictures and all the way to epcot around 11:45 because our actual meal starts 12:00. We also are having open seating for the reception so hopefully everyone will just sit down, lol.

As far as entering, our DJ has sent us a questionaire about what music we want for everyone's entrances (for the wedding party). Are you having an ipod set up or a dj? I'm not sure as far as an ipod set up. HTH

We are having the iPod setup and it's $300 but we're not bringing our own dock. Not sure if there would be no charge for bringing your own.

Yes it is. I've been to Disney in June twice and I've found that around that time, the area is pretty slow. Most people are at the parks or resting at the resort. I've only ever seen the Boardwalk crowded at night. If you look through people's trip reports here, you'll see everyone who has a wedding at SBP takes pictures around the Boardwalk.

It will take you probably 2-3 hours to walk from Boardwalk to Poly.

You are having your ceremony on the Boardwalk, and your reception at the Grand Floridian? Well you will need to arrange transportation for your guests to get there.

You 100% will not be able to ride the monorail to Epcot. When people talk about walking to their DP location, they are talking about arriving at the International Gateway at the back of the park in the World Showcase. The monorail is at the front of the park in Future World.

Thanks
