Hello fellow mommies! I thought i'd share the most amazing time I had with my oldest son (3 years old). We are SoCal residents and have APs to DL so we go there often, however, in the past 1 1/2 years I've only take my older boy as a pregnant mom and "new mom" (again) since December......going w/ little baby brother and me. Of course in the past 1 1/2 he's grown and has been tall enough for a while to ride Matterhorn, Goofy coaster, and most recently he hit 40 inches so Splash, Space, Big Thunder, and Star Tours. Well of course w/ little baby in tote we dont get to ride these kinds of rides because usually its just me and the boys (Dh works). On with the story:

I arranged to have my baby stay at my sisters yesterday from about noon until DH picked him up, and loaded up the car, my 3 year old, and headed down to Anaheim. I told him to take a nap because we had a lot of errands and shopping to do. He took a nap in the car and happened to wake up right as we were pulling in to the parking structure. His eyes opened so wide and he yelled "Are we at Disneyland??!!!" To which I responded "Surprise!!! Its mommy and Carlin day at DL!!" I was nearly in tears from his excitement and surprise!!

From there we headed straight for Matterhorn, over to Buzz for 3 rides, and 1 ride on the Astro Orbiters. He didnt want to do Star Tours yet so we headed to his first shot at Splash and, of course, he fell in love with that ride!! We ended up doing that ride 7 times, with one little Winnie the Pooh ride break in the middle, and that only ended because I said enough!! Then over to POTC and then his first shot at Big Thunder. Of course he loved it too so we did that ride 3 times. Then back to Fantasyland for Pinnochio, Snow White, Peter Pan, Mr. Toad, Casey Jr, Carousel, Tea Cups, and Alice. We watched a bit of the evening parade and then went to Toon Town for Goofy coaster and Roger Rabbit. We finished the night w/ his first ride of Star Tours!!

We stayed until they closed the rides at 8pm (a total of 7 hours in the park) and little guy crashed out hard w/in 5 mins of being in the car!

We had the most spectacular day and its times like these that make me so happy to be a mommy!!

Thanks for listening to me share my story of my fabulous alone time with one of my amazing children! Here's to many, many more years of fun with my boys! :wizard:

 Wow what a wonderful day! What lucky little guy (not to mention a lucky mom too). :thumbsup2

What an incredible gift to give your little guy! He will remember that special time for the rest of his life.

Walt would be proud of you!

Your story reminded my of my Mommy and Me trips to WDW. I cherish the individual trips I have taken with my two oldest boys and look forward to as many as I can get in the future. They are special memories my kids and I will have forever. I hope you get to have more of these trips also.:yay:

Sounds like a great day. I'm taking my DD6 and DS4 to DW in 2 weeks without our baby and DH so I hope we have as magical a time as you did!
