1. Does the World Showcase open early during the AM EMH, or is the EMH just for Future World?

2. My older kids (14 and 12) are not interested in Test Track or Mission Space and I don't think they would be good for my younger ones (6 and 5). They think that they would rather spend more time in the WS. However, I think that my husband would really enjoy them. Should I encourage him to go first thing one AM while we are in the MK or someplace or should I just leave them off my *PLAN* altogether?

Thanks!!

World Showcase does not open early. I believe it opens at 11am.

If your DH wants to ride some of the bigger rides, then I'd encourage him to go either to EMH in the morning, or at least get there when the park opens.

Your younger kids may like Test Track. Its not clear if you have ever rode it but its not a real thrill ride like a coaster. It was one my 3.5 year olds favorite ride. She rode it twice in a row. I can understand not thinking they will like Mission Space. All of them would probably enjoy Soarin though.

There is also other rides at the Land, Figment, Turtle Talk etc that your 5 & 6 year old may really enjoy. There is actually quite a bit to do in Epcot FW.

At WS There is also the boat ride (like a mini its a small world) at Mexico and the ride at Norway (can't remember its name right now).

I would suggest your husband go with your younger kids but then if one does decide they don't want to ride then he's stuck because he has no one to swap with.

I can't remember for sure if the WS opens up early during EMH but I don't think it does.

I guess if your sure none of them want to see those things in FW, I'd just send your husband over early. Test Track, Soarin, Mission Space are all long waits and will need FP. But as a single he'll be able to get on some quicker.

Thanks!

My 6yo may like Test Track, but I think we'll skip Mission:Space altogether! Soarin', however, is first on our list!!

I am very surprised that your 12 and 14 year olds don't want to ride Test Track. It is a lot of fun, not at all scary or anything like that. My DS (15) loves TT as well as Mission: Space.
When we were there in June Mission: Space was always a walk on. If your husband will be riding alone the single riders line at Test Track is the way to go. Test Track gets VERY busy quickly so it's best to get there early.
Soarin' had incredibly long wait times in June. You will need to get there early or use Fast Passes for later on.

There are other things in Future World for everyone.

There is a 3D movie called Honey I Shrunk the Audience,
Innoventions - future inventions, video games for all ages, lots of hands on things to do.

Starship Earth, a ride inside the silver globe at the entrance.
Universe of Energy - ride with Ellen DeGeneres from dinosaur time to present
Wonders of Life - Body Wars, a flight simulated ride thru the body, Cranium
Command - workings of the humand brain thru the eyes of a 12yr old
boy.

Living Seas - Turtle Talk with Crush

The Land - Soarin over California is here, Living with the Land - a boat ride
thru greenhouses and Circle of Life - a movie with Simba, Timon and Pumbaa showing man's relationship with the land.

The teens in my group loved test track last month (we had 5 teenagers and 1 12 3/4 (soon to be 13)) It is a lot of fun.

Also Living Seas is closed for now for renovations. I don't know when it will open.

My older daughters are *much* more excited about the World Showcase than anything Future World has to offer, though I expect that they will enjoy everything we do (they're not complainers :goodvibes ). I have a list of things we'll try as a family, but Test Track has them shrugging their shoulders and the very *thought* of Mission:Space (and Body Wars) makes us *ALL* feel sick!

However, we'll be at Epcot one full day (with Le Cellier for lunch and the Rose and Crown for dinner), another morning (after the PSB in Norway) and another evening (Biergarten for dinner) so I think we will have time to do quite a lot. I think I will have my 6yo and Dad check out Test Track after our Princess breakfast. If they like it, maybe we'll all try it, with FP if necessary.

Oh, I just love planning this trip!!!

You have plenty of time to do everything there. If your husband and 6yo are going to do Test Track maybe run over right before the breakfast and get the FP so they will be all set when the Bkfst if over. Oh and maybe if they are lucky they will get there and there will not be a long line and they can ride before Bkfst!

Have fun.
