Updated on Second Page!

Just got back from the parks. We were there over Vetrans Day and it was ridiculously crowded!!

Anyway, I accidently left DD's (6) autograph book at the Santa area on Friday afternoon. (I dropped my camera and in all the commotion I somehow put the autograph book down and never picked it up.) We didn't realize it was missing until later that evening when we got back to the hotel. Unfortunately, we had spent all day Thursday and Friday morning meeting characters and getting autographs. We had just enough pages for the Princesses signatures which we had planned to get on Friday.

Anway, DD was distraught that we lost it, particularly because we had waited in a VERY long line on Thursday to get the autographs of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. I promised her I would by a new book and we would just add Rapunzel to our princess list for the day on Saturday.

Saturday morning we went over to lost and found and checked to see if it had been turned in. DD had written her name in the front of the book so we at least had that to identify it. The CM went to the back and came out a few minutes later........WITH THE BOOK! DD was so happy she started crying!

We got into our first line and DD started flipping through the book. As we got to the last page where Santa had signed just before we lost the book, we noticed something written on the next few pages. Cinderella, Belle and Princess Aurora had all signed together on the next few pages.....after writing a quick note saying that they found her book and hoped it made its way back to her!!!!

DD was AMAZED and it truly was MAGIC!

That totally choked me up! What a sweet story about the princesses finding the book and signing it for your daughter. Now I'm all snuffly. I just love Disneyland. :cloud9:

Awwww, that was such a cute story! Kinda gave me goosebumps  I love when things like this happen, this is what Disneyland is all about. The CMs (most of them!) are so great. Thanks for sharing that story! :)

Oh that's an awesome story!!! You should send it to Disney thanking the Princesses for helping you find it!! :)

I'm glad you got it back.

Last trip I was in a que and found an autograph book on a railing post. Fortunatey I looked up and about 10 feet in front of me I could see a DM with a confused looking DD.

I couldn't imagine the frustration of thinking about swallowing the loss or spending all the time to wait for the same meet and greets to replace the signatures.

I am glad I am not the only one who teared up after reading that! I LUV DISNEYLAND and all its magic!

*sigh* I just loooooooooove Disney Magic! I hope your DD sends them a thank you/happy holiday card! What an awesome story!

O my goodness!! What a great story! I totally teared up on that too!
Just another reason to love Disney!!! :lovestruc

UPDATE!!

Awww, I knew you guys would understand just how special it was!! DD is STILL talking about how awesome it was that the Princesses found her book! I too, was very very touched at that special bit of Disney Magic!

A few more details:

I didn't really mention in the first post, but DD was literally sobbing over losing her autograph of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider! I quietly told DH that night that I was going to stand in line all day if that's what it took to get that signature again! I felt so bad that I was the one that put it down and never picked it back up. I was so glad I didn't have to do that as the parks were SOOO crowded and the lines were very long!

When we were standing at lost and found, there were several people in front of us who were told their items were not there :( I was starting to feel very dismal about our chances!! When the CM came back to the counter after looking for it, she had a huge smile on her face and said "who believes in Magic" and then took it out from behind her back. DD literally screamed with joy!

I was SOOO touched with the whole thing that I was crying myself! There we were standing in line for the Matterhorn and I have tears streaming down my face along with my huge smile! My DD was SO grateful and was literally hugging her autograph book she was so happy! DH and DS had entered the park to get fast passes while DD and I were at guest services and she was so excited she asked to call DH and tell him the news. What really started the tears was her screaming into the phone "Daddy they found it!!"

This afternoon I sent a heartfelt email to guest services explaining what happened and asking them to thank everyone involved. DD also wrote a letter to each Princess, thanking them for finding her book and taking it to lost and found for her! :cloud9:

OK, I am now crying AGAIN!

This is truly one of the best Disney stories I have ever read. I am so happy for your DD and for you.

It probably made that poor Lost and Found person's day, too, to actually be able to give something back. I'm sure there are many things that go lost and are never found, and it must be so hard to tell people, especially little kids, sorry, we don't have it.
