Some difficult questions and a story..

Okay so some background info on why we are having some difficulties 60 days out. We planned a big birthday trip for my 21st invited all of our friends, and it turned out only me, my boyfriend, and another couple we know were able to make it. My two best friends sadly would not be there due to money, work etc etc. Well, we went out to dinner this week and the wait staff brought out a cake and sang that whole thing and the plate said "see you in disney". This whole time they had wilderness booked, and all my dining reservations (they cold see on mde, but blocked me from seeing theirs). BUT she could only get crystal palace for 6 15, while we have 555 and neither of us can change our time. Does anyone know who is best to call and try to get this worked out? Or is it a lost cause. I thought about all of us checking in at 555 and hoping they'll seat us at the same time if we tell them the situation, anybody have a similar situation that they found a solution to??

I've had similar issues- Call Disney dining at 407WDWDINE and explain the situation. They should be able to link your reservations so the tables are close to one another and get you seated closer to the same time.

Call and have it all noted, but please realize there is no guarantee you will be able to sit together, or even near each other. Show up early for the 555 ADR, and ask what they can do to help you out. And keep your fingers crossed. Good luck!

We have called many times trying to have it noted and no help so far unfortunately looks like we'll just have to show up and hope for the best..

Calling won't do anything as the phone CM's have no control over what is actually happening in the restaurant. Show up for the earlier reservation and explain the situation. Chances are, you will be seated together. If not, at least you will all be eating in the same restaurant around the same time.

Crystal palace isn't that hard to get. Make a new ressie with the total number of people under your MDE.

I agree with you....keep trying for another ADR! Check daily if you have to. im sure you'll find another ADR with the amount of people in your party. Keep checking even up to the night before. A lot of people cancel the night before to avoid the $10 pp no-show fee. If all else fails, show up early and hope for the best. I dont think you'll have issues being seated together.

Just remember... if you re-schedule the ADRs the night before, you better cancel the ones you and your friend currently have. What a horrible birthday surprise to be charged that no-show fee!

We weren't able to book our 10 people at Coral Reef so booked two groups at close to the same time. We made sure to arrive at the restaurant early and asked if they could seat us together, and they did. I think most restaurants will do their best to accommodate you. Just get there early and be patient.

I just had to do the same thing on our trip earlier this month at Garden Grill. Had to do a group of 4 and a group of 5 at two separate times. When we showed up early, I told them I couldn't get one table for all of us but they quickly changed me to a table of 9 and we got seated at about the same time as my first reservation.

I've made an ADR for 8 and ended up at 2 tables, so being seated together is by no means guaranteed. Hope for the best, be prepared for the worst.

Just a stupid thing you may want to try..there is a 15 min grace period given to people with adrs..so if you check in at 610 for your 555 adr you're OK and your firends could easily check in at 610 for a 615..so maybe if you check-in a little late an hy check in little earlyrics you may even able to be seated net echother...either way both parties should check in the sAmerican time and explain to cm your situion..ifor they can they will sit you near each other or may ask you to wait a bit so the could do so. Good luck.

It is not ever a good idea to count on a grace period. Too easy to end up burned.

I would think everyone should show up a little early for the 5:55 pm ressie. Smile sweetly. And be prepared to wait a little while longer.
My guess it will work out if they know you are happily able to wait. Seriously, some people are sooo rude to the hosts....
