We've gotten lucky in the past at just walking up to table service restaurants late afternoon/Early evening and getting seated, until this March when we had difficulties. I'm going to make ressies for next March, one for each day we're there, and I expect to cancel a few. My questions: are there the old fashioned PS offered where you ask for a time without a CC to hold it? What's an ADR as opposed to a PS? We won't be on a plan of any sort if that matters. Can I 'hand-off' a ressie I'm not going to use, as in giving the PS number to a fellow DISer? Thanks for any info offered.

Hi Bill,

An ADR is just a new name for a PS. They work exactly the same. The only difference is at CRT (and one or two others) where you now need to leave a credit card deposit and must cancel in advance if you're not going to show. Otherwise, it's status quo...no penalty for not showing.
