Some Cabin Questions

Hi all. Hoping some of you FW experts can answer some questions for me.

Been thinking about possibly moving over to the Cabins at FW since there will be 6 of us. I love the look of the cabins. My concern is how big FW is. So, my questions:

1.Are the cabins located near the main bus stop at the front of the resort, and what is the furthest walking we'd have to do from cabin to bus stop?

2.How difficult will it be to get form the cabins to the marina?

3.I know about the store near Pioneer Hall. Is there another store towards the entrance?

All of the cabins are a bit of a hike from the Outpost Depot, 1/3 of a mile to the closest cabin to about 9/10 to the furthest cabin. BUT, there are lots of bus stops for internal buses to take you to the front or rear depots.

In like manner, the marina is a serious hike from all the cabins (up to 1.5 miles!) but the internal buses have many stops and can get you to the Depot within 10 minutes, and the marina is about 1000 ft from the depot.

There are two trading posts, the one near Pioneer Hall (Settlement Trading Post) and another near the middle of the campground (the Meadow Trading Post), near the feature pool and the Campfire Sing-a-Long.

Hi Frisco! I don't know what your group's makeup is, but I'm wondering if it is 5 people (adults and kids together) plus an infant to make 6. I'm making that guess based on your ticker indicating that you're going to the Grand Floridian. Regardless, I highly recommend the cabins at FW. We used to always stay at the Poly (concierge level) and I thought we'd always stay there. Then, we stayed at a cabin one trip since we had family who was camping at the fort. Well, that totally hooked us. You get sooooo much more room. Also, having 2 separate rooms so kids can sleep while adults talk is great. The porch is a great area to spread out too. Add on the full kitchen plus all the amenities that FW has to offer and I think you'll find that you love FW. I'm sad now because I don't know when my next trip to WDW will be, but at least I know where I'll be staying whenever it happens!

Feel free to check out either of my FW trip reports if you like!

Leslie
