Some BCV photos

What fabulous pictures, VanHouten! What kind of camera are you using? All of your shots are good, but your evening/nighttime shots are just breathtaking.

Thank you all for your comments and compilments.

The camera is a Canon G2, it is several years old now. It's almost time to upgrade :)

Nighttime photos are not as difficult as they sometimes appear to be. The key is to keep the camera as still as possible. Set the camera to use "night mode" if you have it. If you don't have a tripod, put the camera on a railing, the top of a trash barrel, anywhere that is a solid base. Push the button gently, but firmly, you don't want to move the camera when pushing the button. Since the camera will open the shutter for a longer period of time to catch as much light as possible, things that move will be blurry. So pictures of things that don't move (like a DVC building) will work well.

The best thing to do is experiment, go out and take pictures to see what works and what doesn't work. A digital camera is perfect for this because it doesn't cost anything to take a lot of photos.

Thanks for sharing--you'r pics are beautiful!!! Exactly how early did you have to wake up to get some of those morning shots?! I too would like to know what kind of camera you used. Thanks again!!

I just checked the time on the photos, they were taken between 6:30 and 7:30 in the morning. My son woke me up early, so we decided to take a walk.

Disney is beautiful in the morning. There are not too many people around, you can take your time. And the photos turn out nice becuase the light is so soft.

I recommend an early morning walk with camera to everyone.

Add me to the list of folks who appreciate the photos. We were able to snag a BCV studio for two nights in July (after 3 nights at BWV) so DH will finally have the pleasure of Storm a long Bay (and probably Hurricane Hannas).

I liked your SSR pics makes me glad we bought there for an add on we hadn't even seen it we talked to our guide and told her we wanted an add on there just from how it sounded.

Nice pictures! I'll have to check out my camera to see if it has a night setting.

I love the EPCOT fireworks pictures. They really seem close. I always pictured the fireworks farther away.

Thanks for sharing your pics. I especially like the Epcot fireworks and the photos across the wading pool of the lighthouse and BW through the trees. Nice perspective. You have a good eye.

Thank you for the pictures, they are wonderful. I hope you don't mind, but I had to claim one as my new computer background. I've got a major project I'm trying to complete prior to our next Beach Club vacation, this will be inspiring.

Thanks for sharing those awesome pictures, hopefully we'll be calling BCV "home" in the next few weeks.

The more I look at these photos, the more impressed I am with your sense of composition. They are really nice.

I have only been there the one time and we stayed in a one-bedroom. So I, unfortunatly don't know a good studio. I'm sure someone else here would have a recommendation though.

Yes, we had a very nice view of the fireworks from our room. The photos I took were from our balcony. We got to watch them every night, it was a highlight of the vacation ending every night watching them. A perfect way to end the day.

I am not sure of our room number right now. When I am at home I will look it up and post it here.

Don't mind at all. I put them up to share with people, putting one of them on your computer is a nice compliment. Thanks.

Quick follow-up. We were in room 220, it was a 1br. We watched the fireworks from our balcony.

Absolutely beautiful pictures. If someone posts a thread about deciding whether to join DVC, you should provide a link to your pics.
