Some 1 and 2 Day Pass Savings Options

Thanks for the link!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I just bought our 1 day, 1 park pass for the four of us and it saved us quite a bit :cheer2: :cheer2:

I was wondering if anyone knows if the 2day2park ticket is a hopper?? It really doesn't say and I'm not familiar with UO tickets.
Thanks

Yes, it is. If it says 2 park on it, than it is a parkhopper.

I almost jumped on the bandwagon too, but our dates are next June 2007 and my TA made a comment about a dec expiration date on their tickets. :thumbsup2

Is this true? Can someone confirm this new information please?
I was planning on buying 2 tickets for our january trip :(

Ok- I called Ticket master and Universal. Universal first: I wanted to make sure the website was valid and because it was a 'group' rate- and we are only two- that they would allow us in the park. They said that the website as far as they can see is valid- but they cant answer any questions on the tickets because they are from Ticketmaster and they may have their own restrictions. I asked if the same ticket rules applied to all tickets purchased to the park. They said yes- but they cant answer for ticketmaster. So I called ticketmaster- they said I coulndt even buy the tickets because i'm not a group. I explained that it was allowing me to puchase jsut two. They said that is fine then. I asked if they need to be used back to back days- they said that only Universal can answer that question- and that any ticket retrictions that apply to Universal apply to these tickets but they put no 'extra' restrictions of their own them. Neither Universal nor Tickmaster knows if these tickets have an expiration date. Sheesh.... Im not sure what to do. :confused3

Could anybody who bought and received some of those tickets please clarify for us. It'd be really appreciated.

Thanks

Eric

The days do not have to be used consecutively and the tickets do not expire.

I just received my four tickets in the mail this week - we're planning to visit the parks only in March 2007. However, things are still unclear. The tickets say they are 2 day/2 park passes, but then at the bottom of the ticket it says "good for any one day in 2006"!

I have now spoken with Ticketmaster twice and with three different people at Universal. Everyone at Universal tells me that 2 day/2 park tickets do not expire, regardless of what the ticket says. Both Ticketmaster and Universal staff that I spoke with were uniformly confused by the fact that it says "good for any one day" rather than good for any two days.

I know that cseca is visiting US next month and has kindly offered to try to get some more clarity about any restrictions regarding timing and use of the tickets. I am planning to hang onto them for the moment and keep my fingers crossed....

The tickets will be good and are for two days. If you're still concerned, send me a PM.

thank you, phamton.

to those using the link, do me a favor and reinvest your savings back into Universal, they're who's actually offering you the savings. have a nice meal at Mythos or Lombard's or buy some extra souvenirs.

Thanks very much phamton - really appreciate your checking into this for us. I will rest much easier now!

Amity 3, thanks again for letting us know about this offer. And we will definitely support Universal Studios - we're planning on trying Mythos this trip for the first time. Can't wait...and with our two kids, the odds of us getting out of the park minus a fortune in souvenirs are extremely slim.

Best wishes,
MouseGirl

I just received the three tickets in the mail that I purchased for our December 2006 trip. These are actually ticket master tickets with only one tear off barcode. Do these need to be exchanged at the Universal ticket booths for actual universal two day passes? I ask this because they only have one tear off barcode, so how would you use it a second day?

That is your ticket. You use the same barcode both days.

There is also a deal at the Universal website

2 day / 2 park for $99.95 PLUS you get kids free & a bonus 3 days free .

( We just purchased this and got 6 tickets for less than $300 ( 3 adult, 3 kid free ) We will have an extra free ticket to give to someone at the gate since we will only need 5 of the tickets. )

I guess 2 day / 2 park for $67 is a good deal if you are only planning on staying for 2 days and or dont have any children to be able to use the free kid tickets... but for $32/$33 more I will gladly take another 3 days :rotfl:

I want to join everybody else in thanking you for posting the link.

I'm going to be buying 4 adult 2 day/2 park tickets, and with your help, I'm saving enough money to pay for meals and parking that day (which will now be valet parking!).

Since we're going in December, whether they expire at the end of the year or not isn't a problem for us (although it doesn't sound like they do).

Thanks very much! :thumbsup2

Edited to add: I ordered my 4 tickets and figured I saved about $180 (when you include tax). The other family who will be going with us will have 6 or 7 with them (depending on who all goes with them). This will be a HUGE savings for them when I tell them about it! You are officially a hero at my house right now!

Again, I just have o say, I hope that the buy 2 get 3 days free plus KIDS free is offered again for 2007. :sunny:

Heres keeping my fingers crossed. :goodvibes

Does anyone know when typically I would expect to see special tickets offers for 2007 on the Universal web site?

Thank you

Thank You! I used the link and bought 2, one day-one park passes. They arrived in today's mail, and like another poster said they look like tickets to a rock concert. While I had entertained the idea of us taking a day trip to Universal Studios during our upcoming 7 day WDW vacation, the transportation and admission costs put that on the back burner. Now I know we are going

Thanks for the great link. I just bought one 2 day/2 park pass and got the email with the barcoded tickets within a few mins.

With the barcoded tickets, do you just go straight to the entrance and they'll scan it there or do you need to exchange it at a ticket booth for a real ticket?

Thanks in advance,
Matt
