Those of you who go solo and are far enough away that you need to fly to get to WDW- how often do you go?

2-3 times a year, depending on my schedule. now that I have an AP I can justify it a little more since I can normally get a flight for under $200

This upcoming trip will be my first solo trip, and since I haven't been to wdw in 4 years partially because I couldn't get anyone to go with me.. it looks like it'll be a once a year thing! I'll be back to my normal annual visits!!! :yay:

I booked my airfare for September in April and for round-trip, non-stop to MCO I found a ticket for $225.. thats with taxes and fees so I was very happy with that!

I'm going solo for the 1st time in Sept albeit it is my 18th visit overall. I fly from the UK I usually fly direct but another first will be flying via Philadelphia and finally will be staying at Pop Century another first- at a value but just glad to be at Disney :cool1:

I'm going solo for the first time this October, but for the past 6 years I've gone once a year. It could be more, but I also do other trips that are much farther away every year as well, so the bulk of my travel budget goes to international travel.

My second solo trip to WDW is in September. Did a partial solo to DLR as well. Looks like an annual trip for me. My DW is a teacher and not a Disney fanatic. Other than the summer months I have more vacation time than she does. Using it up on a solo trip so I 'm not forcing DW to go solves both problems.

I did a partially solo trip in October, then a solo 3-night trip in January, and now I'm expecting to head down solo for 5 nights in September. So, three times this year. My flight is around 2 1/2 hours; not bad at all to get down to sunny Florida!

I'm debating whether to fly or take the AutoTrain (again) for my next trip to the World in 2013. I may or may not be solo. Each method of transport has its pros and cons. I have only flown a few times in my life and never solo (and not since I acquired a CPAP and the need to carry multiple medications and lancets). In fact, I have not vacationed solo since I was a teenager, so that's something new as well. If my husband doesn't want to go to my convention and amuse himself while I'm in session, however, I will go alone.

Once a year for me - I hate flying (nervous flyer) but as I'm coming from the uk flying is my only option, I love Disney but 9 hours on a plane pushes that to the limit lol

so, I guess it isn't crazy to be thinking about going 12 months after my last trip

not crazy at all

I go about once a year which is more than enough for me as it is a long way to go. I wish I had enough cash to get an AP to disneyland and would go there every month. :thumbsup2

As times gone on, it's gotten less frequent. I now go to WDW, or on my last trip to DL every 18 months to 2 years. When I went annually my trips were 5-6 days, now their closer to 10-11 days.

This Nov will be my first solo trip and my first solo flight. I do one trip a year,of course to WDW, the DW can not stand crowds and will not let her self go to WDW:rotfl2:. So I get WDW all to my self:goodvibes:sad2:

In years past, I've gone 4-6 times a year, flying solo. Now that we're retired and dh has more time to travel, we tend to go together, more often. But I'm going EBPC cruise solo, and usually WDW in January solo.

what is far :( I am in Pa.... is that far enough....

last year I was at WDW 11 times so that was 22 times on the plane :confused3

I usually do 1 total solo trip a year, then 1 other "partial solo". That is, DH goes one way with me, and stays for about 5 days, while I stay a total of 10, 5 with him and 5 more solo. I always have to change planes when I fly solo, which I don't mind, except for the time I had to take the bus to another terminal.

So far this year I have flow solo from Los Angeles to Orlando 4 times to visit WDW. I still have two more trips planned this year.
