I am heading to Florida for 48 glorious hours all by myself. I had a crummy summer and my hubby is trying to give me a break. Super sweet. I leave November 18 and fly home the 20. I am staying CSR business class. I arrive around lunch and have a super early flight on the 20th. SO! What would you do with one full day (I have a 1:45am magical express pick up.. so pulling an all nighter haha) and one half day??? I thought of a tour, but they are all sold out. I am totally willing to buy a one day park ticket. Give me some ideas!!!!

With one day, I wouldn't spend time hopping, but that might just be me. I would want to maximize my park time. So I would be all in for the MK, open to close.

I hope you have a great trip!

That's what I am leaning towards I think!!! Spend the afternoon on day one at Disney springs checking out the tree trail and shopping. Then hit magic kingdom until close (12am). Is it weird to go as a solo adult to magic kingdom though?? Haha

I solo'd a short trip (2 days) and for me, a trip to Disney isn't complete unless I go to both MK and EPCOT so I hopped. I rope dropped one park one day and then hopped to the other in the afternoon, then switched. So, it's definitely not weird to solo MK... if not, I wouldn't have done it, right? lol ;) No, no one will blink an eye when you solo in Dis.

It might depend on how often you go, but if it were me, I'd try to hop to all 4 parks and hit my favorites in all of them. It's easily done and you don't really have to rush if you are only hitting 2 or 3 rides or shows in each park. On my half day, I'd probably do my favorite park, which in my case is Epcot. I'd skip DS but that's just me, I always do all my shopping in the parks and the shops that aren't in the parks just don't interest me. I'd also probably book at least one TS meal again in whatever your favorite place is. I love to go to HBD in HS and just relax around 5pm or 6pm.

With my family if I only had one day I would for sure be in MK, but as a solo I would also consider Epcot! Wandering the world showcase and the headline rides there would be fun alone, but then again is it really WDW if you don't go to MK? Thats a tough choice!

If you are really wanting to do a tour, check in to them all. There are many to choose from. And if you do book, make sure to get appropriate to you discounts...AP, DVC and Disney Visa, all 15%. Most have starting times early in the day, leaving a lot of park touring time available. I have taken many solo trips there (though meeting up with lots of folks from the boards here) and most trips have taken a tour. All have been great.

For one and a half days, I would focus on Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

Enjoy.

I would do Epcot on the arrival date. Illuminations is beautiful. The next day I would do Magic Kingdom. It's amazing how much you can get accomplished in a day. Hope you have a great trip!

First of all, totally not weird to go solo at MK! I'm doing my 2nd ever solo trip to the World 12/6-12/11 and I have a couple ADRs, MVMCP, Candlelight Processional, and the JBJB Dessert Party, all on my own! I can't wait!

Second, I agree with the others' suggestions of focusing on MK and Epcot. I would spend the half day in Epcot, wandering around World Showcase, and hopefully fitting in a ride or 2 (you can have better luck finding fp+ availability as a solo traveler, and Test Track has a single rider line). I would spend the full day in the MK, open to close, just doing as much as I could cram in, lol

With so many solo trips under my belt, I say MK is perfect for a solo traveler. And if you play Pokemon Go, it's alot of fun there. And at Disney Springs too.
I would go to MK and book a lunch at Skipper Canteen, Crystal Palace or BOG for a late lunch for a mid-day break off my feet.
Enjoy!

I enjoy MK as a solo traveler! CSR is a great hotel and the bus system was really good. Hope you have a great time

I think solo Disney is so much fun! It is so nice to be able to only think about YOU and I find the pace so relaxing without any stress of "pleasing others". I would actually shoot for AK for your half day because ROL is supposed to be up and running for your dates, and then MK marathon for day two!

I think I'd go to Epcot! I never fully take the time to enjoy World Showcase and a solo trip would be perfect for that. And I could spend all day in Mouse Gear!

I"d do what I always do and go where the day takes me.. start where it hits you in the morning that you need to be and trust your gut and go where it needs to. start with just the 1 day ticket and add hoppers if you actually hop.

it's also destination d weekend but I don't recommend that for a 48 hour, need a break getaway your doing. it's better to stick with your happy places, food and rides.

I was going to mention Destination D as well. morning to night activities scheduled Sat and Sun, but it sounds like you are Fri/Sat.

Watch the boards for an announcement. You may get wind of Rivers of Light opening and want to squeeze in an evening in AK.

Lots of D23 members will be there solo that weekend. You won't be alone, whatever you do.

Friday night is MVMCP. I would consider that in lieu of a regular park ticket. You can do MK 4pm to 12am.

I'm sorry you had a crummy summer and it's so sweet of your husband to give you such a special treat. What better place for a special trip?

I go solo all the time. I prefer it that way. :) I can do whatever I want when I want. The only time anyone might know you're on a solo trip is at a TS meal, but even then there might be a reason you're alone. If I only had a one day trip, I'd probably opt for a park hopper and hit Epcot World Showcase, DHS for ToT, and AK. With your particular trip, I'd use the tour money for a MVMCP ticket and spend the half day at MK and use the whole day for the other parks.

Whatever you decide I hope you have a truly magical trip!

In 2 days I will be enjoying my 6th solo trip. I have plans on what parks each day and night with fast passes. For food I am winging it: no reservations.

I have been solo many times - not for everyone but I loved my trips. For me though a WDW trip isn't official until I hit Epcot! I really enjoy the WS so I would hit MK in the am and then mid late afternoon monorail to Epcot to enjoy the shows and snacks in WS along with a adult beverage before heading back to MK.
My FP+ would be at MK and then I would try for a 4th at Epcot and then any others at MK for evening hours (depending on the crowd level of course).

Have fun !

You are doing what I daydream about doing. I would LOVE your trip. My daydream includes spending a whole day in EPCOT alone, wandering and riding as I'd like without anyone trying to push me along. I LOVE the ambiance of WS. I would try to get a ressie for the Rose & Crown, only because DH and DS don't want to eat there. I'd ride Soarin' more than once. On the partial day, I'd wander a couple resorts and have a ressie for dinner at one of them rather than do a park. Again, from the perspective that not everyone in my family would enjoy that activity.

Adding to my post above - for my 1/2 day non park time! I would head to the Animal Kingdom lodge to watch the animals, the resort itself is gorgeous. I would grab dinner in the bar area which I think is also very pretty and maybe stay for the storytelling and evening animal watching.
Alternately I would head to the CR or the Poly to grab a bite and watch wishes from the balcony (CR) or beach (poly).
