I was getting ready to make my ressies this afternoon for my upcoming solo trip, and the app and the website both wouldn't let me. They said there were no times available for a dining party of 1. I tried different times, and different restaurants. In the past I've been able to reserve online without a problem.

Is this a new thing? Will I be able to call and get ressies for 1?

Make your reservations for a party of 2. You should have no problem checking in solo at the time of your reservations.

I'm solo traveller too and some places I just booked for 2 , Carnation Cafe was the one I had trouble with

I ran into the same problem last year with two of my reservations (Blue Bayou & Carnation Cafe) & called to make the reservations and that worked perfectly.

Echoing previous posters: book for a party of two. That's what I always do (unless it's a pre-paid event) and I've never had a problem at check-in telling them I'd be the only one dining.

I just went through this myself. I wound up calling Disney Dining. I was trying to get the Halloween Parade Dinner at Blue Bayou. She wound up making me the reservation for 4 and will make a note on the reservation.

Just did the same thing for my trip. The reservation system had no lunch availability for 1, no availability for 2, when I tried party of 3 lunch times became 100% available. So I made the ressie for 3 and will call Disney dining so they make a note.

I find this so odd. I had no issues when I booked for my May trip. I hope they don't restrict dinning to 2 or more. Us solo travelers, like good meals too.
