Hey Solo Reunion-goers:

Going solo is a lot of fun, but let's face it - spending time with other like-minded Mousephiles is even better! That's why you need to mark this time and place on your calendars for a very UNOFFICIAL Solo Meet:

7pm - Bedtime
Tambu Lounge, Polynesian Resort

I know a lot of people are shy, but hey - you picked your trip around Reunion because you want to meet other people that understand your need to go on Splash Mountain 10 times in a row, right? Don't be shy, come on down and have a few drinks, and hopefully you'll make some new friends with whom you can hang out for a few days.

Non-solo folks are welcome too, of course!

Sadly, no. It sounds like an awesome event but I was holding out to see if the Reunion folks would be doing the Fantasmic/Osbourne Lights event again, and sure enough they are ... and it's on the same night as Disapalooza.

The response to this solo meet at the Tambu Lounge has been amazing, though! It's making me think of doing another small solo meet that week - like a Dole Whip or Club Cool meet or something like that.

I'm sure I'll be tweeting out pics and updates to let people know how the event is doing (WDWSoloMeets), so keep an eye out. If this turns into a late night thing, definitely come and join us!

There seems to be a few people that think we should go out to the beach and watch Wishes, and I assume that will be a 'real-time' decision, so I'll definitely be tweeting that out in case you decide not to stay at EPCOT that night.

The response here (and on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.) for this meet has been fantastic, and way more than I thought!

I did put the event up on Plancast as well - in the hope that it will be the "Central Hub" for RSVPing and discussing the event. http://plancast.com/p/893n/wdw-solo-meetup

RSVP is not necessary of course, but it's always nice to see who is coming. And any lurkers - don't be shy! If you are in WDW on the 7th, come to the Tambu and join us!

I'm really excited to meet everybody! Also, if you are on Google+, you can add me and I'll be hosting a Hangout (like Skype for small groups) every Tuesday in November at 8pm ET to talk WDW.

You should check out 2011Reunion.net. The WDW Today podcast hosts an event called Reunion every December (12/8 - 12/12 this year). They have tons of meets. About 300 WDW fans attend. There are always lots of solo travelers like me and it's going to be a great place to meet new friends ... and the Tambu Lounge on the 7th will be a great place to start! I look forward to meeting you then!

That Reunion thing is very interesting. I just might be at some of those events, and this one too. It's too bad one of the events requires booking a package though, as I'm a local and won't pay for a hotel a few miles from home. But I get how it's something special for those that booked the travel package.

Maybe I'll see some of ya in Dec.

I will be missing this by a day! I don't fly in until Dec 8th.

I will be doing some Reunion meets, some Mousetacular meets, some AllEars and generally running around.
