Hey guys,

So I planned this wonderful trip for my best friend and I for this August, and I'm SUPER excited! I've only ever been to Disney World with a boyfriend, and now that he is an EX boyfriend, I really wanted to take a trip where I could experience my love for Disney without my love for someone else - you know, take the romance out of it a little bit.

HOWEVER, my best friend recently got a DBF... who lives in FL... so, as you can probably guess, he is planning on visiting us during the trip.

Now, since being the third wheel to two people experiencing the magic of Disney romance kind of defeats the purpose of this trip, I decided I would take one day solo and let them do their own thing.

So, couple of things to figure out and could use some advice from some SOLOists.

We are staying in Disney for 6 days, 5 nights. We are going to one park a day, including an extra half-day at Epcot when we arrive. The day we leave, our flight isn't until 7:20, so we were going to hit the parks early for a couple hours.

So, if the DBF wants to pick a day to come, which day should he visit? In other words, which park would be the best for me to do solo?

Let me know what you guys think and any advice you have on going solo for the first time.

I go approx 5-6 tmes a year. some times with a friend, and a few times alone. If given the choice I would do Epcot alone. I love walking through the showcase of nations and looking in all the shops. There quite a few rides that are single friendly. Second choice is Magic Kingdom, Only because I love it so. On my last day I usually hit Typhoon Lagoon, I can relax, catch a few rays and then take a shower before going to the airport. Good luck. I will be there the end of this month for 4 days by myself

I second that EPCOT is the park to do solo! There is so much to explore in the World Showcase and tons of pictures of all the architecture. Plus Test Track has a single rider line and Soarin', Mission Space, and Spaceship Earth are all easy and still fun to ride by yourself. DHS is another one easy to do solo, well for me anyway because I would just ride RNR and Star Tours all day and those are fun to ride alone or with anybody.

Have fun and enjoy your trip!

While I agree that Epcot is awesome as a solo, personally, I prefer DHS. Hollywood Studios just has great stuff to do as an adult single. Single rider line at RnR, Tower of Terror, where there really is always room for one more, Star Tours, now new and improved, the shows, great movie ride, etc. A great way to not worry that the rides are designed for two sharing. Then if you want an adult beverage, you have Tune Inn Lounge or Hollywood Backlot. Both have a full bar and offer up tasty delights. At Tune Inn Lounge you can also order a meal from the full menu available at 50's Prime Time.

Basically, just have fun. Its awesome being solo.

Solo park for me is E.P.C.O.T. :worship:

Why?
World Showcase !!!, and the location, you are close to the Boardwalk area and Hollywood Studios, plus on your boat ride to or from DHS you can stop off at the Dolphin and enjoy Todd English's Bluezoo and the great appetizers & raw bar foods

Hey guys,

Thanks so much for the replies! We've worked out a schedule and it now looks like my friend's DBF is coming on our last day, after we've already visited each park once.

Our flight isn't until 7:20pm that day, and with her DBF in the area, he can drive us to the airport without us worrying about DME, which will be a great relief.

Either way, Epcot has EMH in the morning, so I could get up nice and early and get there straight as the park opens. But, World Showcase doesn't open until 11am, and I guess I should leave to get back to the hotel by about 3 if we want to get to the airport on time.

But, my favorite rides are Soarin' and Spaceship Earth, so I think you guys are right. My only concern is that the day we get there, we'll be going to Epcot for the afternoon and evening, and then again for a full day. Not that I could EVER get sick of WDW!!!!

But thank you all for the help!
