Hi everyone ,

I am travelling to Disney in November a solo birthday trip and have been eyeing to book at Monsieur Paul’s which has been on my bucket list . I was wondering how do I book a reservation and how far out do I need to make the booking? Am not the biggest fan of dining solo so this will be an experience for myself. do You have any advice ? Also to add what non alcoholic drinks do they serve?

any info would be great appreciated!

We dined there in January. Make your ADR on line or by phone anytime after 60 days just like any other restaurant. We don’t drink either. We were given a nonalcoholic welcome drink that tasted like a punch I made when my kids were little. It was too sweet for my husband but I liked it. Other than that, Coke products, iced tea, coffee, hot tea, all the usual beverages you get at WDW. The server did put the pear liquor on our intermezzo sorbet. He thought we’d like it, but we didn’t. If we did it again, I would make sure to get just the plain sorbet.

FYI, there was someone 2 tables away from us who was also dining solo. So it happens & the servers are used to it. He seemed to enjoy his meal, although I wasn’t paying too much attention. He also was chatting with the people next to him too. Enjoy! The food was delicious!

Hi thank you for the reply was very helpful! Glad they have a selection of drinks as I was worried it would be purely wine etc for the meals. Sounds like a great experience.

No advice, I dined solo there in November and I had a magnificent experience... then again, I’m used to dining solo. I would just say just relax and enjoy the experience...

I’d book as far in advance as possible

We normally have sparkling water as we don't drink either.
I've seen solo diners there and it seems an increasing trend.

I've dined there solo, no problem, and loved it. I had to reserver a table for 2, then modify. Likely they won't give you a one-top right off the bat, but they might.

Solo dining is great; it sharpens the senses and you can concentrate more on the meal and surroundings.

Enjoy!

PS: It's Monsieur Paul, not Paul's.

Definitely a great place to enjoy a solo meal! The food is exquisite and the service is very attentive and personal. My solo meal there lasted over 2 1/2 hours and my server paced everything so perfectly that not once did I feel awkward - just pampered and special. The time passed before I knew it. I was not the only solo that evening, so they are certainly used to it.

I booked online through MDE the day reservations reopened last year. Their cancellation policy is much more strict than usual, so be sure to read it and be aware. That said, go for it! It would be a perfect way to celebrate a birthday!

This is a great thread - I'm currently planning a solo trip and wasn't even considering Monsieur Paul until I saw a vlog about it and the food just sounds amazing! So it's good to know that this is a good place for solo dining.

It’s fantastic...I felt pampered all evening, and I enjoyed chatting with the waiter...

Last October my 2 boys were in the MK while I stayed at Epcot, wound up eating at Chefs De France by myself...I actually enjoyed it, People watched in between course as they gave me a table right by the windows

It’s a great experience we ate there a few weeks ago. If you can make a reservation late enough so you can sit at a window and watch fireworks. We had a dinner at 6 o’clock and it’s a longer experience and they Asked us how quickly we wanted to eat and we told them we would love to watch fireworks from our seat and they timed it perfectly. Had a great meal and was sitting having coffee watching the fireworks out the window. The staff is very friendly, the chef came out a few times, the maitre d‘ came over, the wait staff was so nice and we talked about where they are from so you won’t be alone.

Just booked an ADR at Monsieur Paul for September! No issues with getting an ADR for 1 guest!
Maybe they've relaxed that rule given the lower attendance trends?

In any event, enjoy!

I don’t think there was ever any rule about having an ADR for 1. We ate there in January & there was a single diner near us. I’ve also read several reports from other single diners.

Disney ADRs can always be troublesome, we’re a party of 2 & sometimes have to make an ADR for 4 to get a decent restaurant or time.

My wife and I recently attended this amazing restaurant. There was a single diner a few tables away from us and she seemed to enjoy it as much as my wife and I. The food was amazing, our server was amazing. You won’t feel alone especially if you like to converse with the server. We had a blast and are looking forward to our next trip with a great night at Monsieur Paul.
