I will have one day on my own before the rest of my family joins me for our vacation.

What restaurants would you recommend for a solo traveler
Looking for table service places NOT inside a theme park

I am sure that most restaurants would be fine. I am looking for recommendations from other solo travelers that they preferred dining at since they were alone
Type of cuisine doesn't matter

TIA

I have been solo many times and feel comfortable eating in any restaurant solo. My 3 favorite non-theme park choices would be (in order) Boma, The Wave, and Kona. The first two for dinner and the third for lunch. The Pepper Market is also high on my list.

Have fun.

At places like California Grill, Citricos, Flying Fish, Shula's, Blue Zoo--you can get a full meal at the bar. Probably what I'd do if I were going solo.

I tried to do this a couple of years ago and never made it...I will definitely never make that mistake again! Have a great time!!

It's not for everyone I guess, but some of us do this relatively often.

Jiko, Flying Fish, California Grill and Citricos have seating at open kitchens where you can watch the chefs at work.

yeah, ive dined solo at California Grill (and it was terrific!) Boma (nice coz its a buffet and you spend alot of time getting your food ect) Flying fish - i got to sit at the bar and watch the cooks which was really cool. Fultons at downtown disney, Jiko, Kona Cafe, Chef Mickeys ..i go solo alot! :goodvibes

Kona for lunch is excellent

GFC dinner was awesome too as was the Wave, we have had 2 great meals there
