Hi all. I am planning on doing something crazy for my birthday and flying in from Canada for 1 day to WDW by myself. I've always done the parks with my wife and kids but never on my own (yes, I'm a big kid at heart). I'll be there on November 11th and plan to be at DHS for the morning and heading over to MK for the afternoon and evening. If my flight in is on time I'll probably do Epcot the late afternoon and evening of the 10th as well.

Does anyone have any suggestions of anything special to do since it's my birthday. I'm planning to doing CS meals but I'm also open to TS if it's something that is not too awkward to do by myself. Anyone else done a solo trip on their birthday?

Any suggestions appreciated.

I just had to reply to this:goodvibes I am going on a solo trip for my birthday as well- Nov. 12! I will be there for 5 days, so a little diffferent than what you are doing. I don't know how interested you'll be in this, but the first MVMCP will be Nov. 10. Have you considered eating at a WS locale that maybe your kids and/ or wife wouldn't like but that you've always wanted to try? (If this even pertains??) That is one thing I am definently doing. Or maybe go to Beaches and Cream and getting one of their very sinful desserts. These are the only two things I can think of. Happy planning!

One other thought, if you do MK and MVMCP on the 10th and get in free for your bday at Epcot, the costs for your tickets would go down a little- just a MVMCP ticket and a 1 day 1 park to get into DHS. Just a thought.

Great suggestions. I hadn't even thought about going to the MVMCP on the 10th. I'd be getting to the parks right around 4, which is (if my info is correct) when you can start going into the park with the ticket. And that would give me a great 8 hours of park time. Then on my birthday I'd just get my free ticket and pay the few extra $ to upgrade it to a park hopper.

Great idea about WS. I would have loved to go to Le Cellier but it's all booked up. With this change in itinerary it affords me a great opportunity to try something new. As for Beaches and Cream, the entire family stayed at the BC for 2 weeks in April - if I see another Kitchen Sink... well let's just say it won't be a pretty sight.

Whew, thought I was a weirdo, glad to see others are doing this too!
Will miss you both by a week (19th) but Happy Birthdays and have a great time, I know I will!
:bday:
