Hello All...I'm helping my dad plan is solo day at AK. I've learned that EE has a single rider line. Are there any other benefits or things I should suggest he take advantage of while there for the day? TIA

I think EE is the only single rider line.

The 2 major walk through animal exhibits (Pangani Forest Trails and Maharajah Jungle Trek) are meant to be explored at your own pace, and don't have any sort of a line to enter them.

For most of the shows, they recommend that you be there well in advance of showtime, but when traveling alone, I have always been able to get a decent seat close to showtime.

I think that AK is one of the best parks to explore solo.

On my solo trip in May, AK was my favorite park! I love the whole atmosphere of that park, so I took my time & strolled around leisurely. I did the Kilimanjaro Safari twice, and both walking trails that are mentioned above. I LOVE the trails, but my kids just want to rush through them, or worse yet skip them! I noticed little things this time that I never did before.

I ate from snack carts & sat & rested along the path in Asia. There are lots of little side trails heading down towards the water from this area to sit & relax, or eat.

I tried EE (single rider line is awesome - I walked right on!) for the 1st time and loved it. Got off & got right back on. I rode Dinosaur 3 times in a row, just because I could (that's one of my favorite rides in all of WDW). I went inside every gift shop & just strolled around at my own pace.

I watched Mickeys Jammin Jungle Parade, which happens to be my favorite WDW parade.

It was great!

If he's into watching critters being critters (that includes humans! LOL) or loves nature he'll do just fine solo. It's my favorite park and occasionally I do find myself wishing I were sans kiddos so I can just sit and stare. No planning really needed. Just a desire to explore :)

In December I toured every trail solo, went on EE 2 times solo and KJS 3 times solo. I took TONS of photos and have the best memories of this park ever. I even went to the petting zoo. . .Oh, didn't you know they have one? The petting zoo is at the end of the trail of Rafiki's Planet Watch Train. . .take it and have fun. . .WOO HOO. . .

Will be enjoying AK with my animal loving DSO in March. . .can't wait.
