Has anyone ever gone to the afternoon tea at Garden View Tearoom by themselves? Would you recommend it? I was thinking of taking a book and having a quiet afternoon to myself. Do they rush you out or is it okay to relax a while?

I highly recommend it solo! They won't rush you. I would do it again solo in a heartbeat.

going alone can be fun...I sometimes take my dd5 (since she was 3) and have a nice girls tea and she loves it!

Absolutely!!:thumbsup2 I think it would be great to do solo. I have gone with my mom but I do solo Disney Paris trips and IMO tea at the GF would be a great solo spot - it is quiet, relaxed, and when we were there not so busy- great place to read I'd think while sipping a nice cuppa by the window.:goodvibes

Do It:cheer2: The first time I did the tea I did it as a solo - had been traveling with 5 family memebers and it was the perfect break from everyone.
I was not rushed - chatted from time to time with the mother and young daughter next to me and took my time getting back to my family:rotfl:
Did it again in December with my DD and still loved - the view was awesome - my DD and the gingerbread house.
Go and enjoy:banana::banana::banana:

Sounds good to me. May have to sneek away from DH and try it for myself in May :) He only drinks iced tea :lmao:

Yeah...I think I am definetly going to do it!!! It sounds wonderful and since it will be me and 3 boys, (husband and kids) I am sure I will need the peace and relaxation!! Thanks guys!!! :banana::banana::banana::yay::yay::yay:

I only heard about this recently, And have not had the chance to try itbut with my family. I believe I would prefer to do it solo.

I've done it several times by myself and it is always a highlight of my trip! :thumbsup2

I didn't even know about this, but thanks to this post, I just booked a 2pm reservation on 5/24. This should make a very nice break from my day at MK -I don't really drink tea, but I love the stuff that comes with a nice pot, lol

The very first time I had tea here I was alone. I only ordered tea sandwich's and a pot of tea but the waitress was so kind and the whole experience was so relaxing and i did not feel rushed at all. I highly recommend doing tea to anyone who would enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. I've taken my best friend and Mother, now each time we go, it's a must do.

My daughter and I FINALLY did The Tea last Fall trip and loved it !
At is a great break from everything and everyone. You are treated Royally.
Wonderful afternoon. You will enjoy your quiet time and will not be out of place. The offerings are tasty and served beautifully.

I've done the tea with friends and solo, and I had a great time either with company or by myself. Go for it!

They don't rush you, so go ahead and bring a book if you want.
