Just checked the WDW site for dates 10/5-10/8 and is shows no availability. I know that F & W and Mickey's Not so scary are going on, but EVERY ROOM is booked???? WOW!

Colombus day weekend is usually crowded and I beleive there is a race going on too??

Don't give up, keep on checking often!

ETA: Try giving disney a call too! Usually first thing in the morning is a good time to check availability :)

Check back daily. I needed to add a night on to our reservation for this October. For a couple days, all that was available were very expensive rooms at GF or Yacht Club. I tried again yesterday and a room opened up at AKL and I got a AAA rate. Good luck!

It seemed like it was pretty booked when I booked back in August. But I would bet that things open up. Call each morning and evening to see if there have been cancellations. And if you really really really want to go, try one of those Downtown Disney hotels.

Keep checking every day! I just went through this, got $16 r/t airfare for 9/28 - 10/1, then couldn't find a resort except villas at OKW or SSR and no AP rate! Kept checking and checking and just this morning got CBR preferred for AP rate of $109. This is a father/son trip for my DH and DS and surprise trip for DS to MNSSHP! Even snagged ADR's today for GF Cafe, Boma, Prime Time and Kona. THank you Marla at Dreamsunlimited.:cool1:

Not even a studio somewhere in a DVC resort???
You will have to make note on this on your site:) Looks great by the way!!

Sadly, this is becoming more the "norm." Definitely KEEP CALLING BACK.

Call and check the web often on the 6th day before you arrive. That is when room only reservations have to be canceled or pay one nights deposit. (it is 6 days right? Or is it 5?)

But like others have said, check over and over. Call and check the web site too. A room here and there will pop up at any time. Make sure you book something when you see it available. I found a room in August on the web but waited until CRO opened and by time I talked to someone the room was gone.

I just checked Disney's site for Oct 4th to Oct 8 and got the CSR for $185 a night. People say that often this happens. You can find it for a longer time over the shorter time. I have read that people will book the longer stay then call back a bit later and drop down to what they really wanted. You might try that.

Good Luck!

Ok still playing around I went back to Oct 1. Oct 1 to Oct 8 found POR water view $160 a night, POFQ standard view $145 a night and OKW stuido $279 a night. I would call for those dates and then call back and drop the 1st to 4th.

Ok I'm really obsessed. I'm having fun searching and finding rooms for others now!!! :)

Disney Bride thanks about my website. Its coming along. FUnny thing is I am all abotu the Peak Seasons and have never had the chance to go during October and decided to jump in for a quickie. Then the shock of it being more packed than my PEAK SEASONS:confused3 . Yeah I may have to now include this time frame on my site.

StrwladyI hadnt thought of that but I am on my way to get that done. I did manage Pop for Oct. 5 and CB the 6 and 7th. Thanks to all and thanks again Disney Bride for the compliment about the website.

I initially had the same problem - tried to book Oct. 5-8 - nothing available. Played around with the dates online and was able to book ASMo Oct. 2-8. Called CRO to have them reduce it, and while asking about any passholder rates, was told that ASMu was available from the 5th-8th, so I changed my ressie. This is a common tactic, especially on short stays. Some of the value resorts will only allow 4 or even 7 day ressies, even though space is available, so you have to resort to booking a longer stay and then reducing the number of days.

There is also a big convention running as my DH goes every year. He tells me it's more crowded during this stay than when we are there in August!

My husband is attending an enormous conference in Disney that week and he said many of the hotels have large blocks of rooms reserved for that.

It's probably the same one my DH is going too and it is very large as he has been going every year for over 5 years now.
