Called today 9/12/02 for a room 11/27-11/30
Was told not a singal room on property.
This is a very good sign. I was disapointed surprised and happy all at the same time.
I know I wil eventualy get a room. For some reason they claim to be sold out when there really are rooms.
Similar thing they do with priority seating, they limit PS to save room for walk ups.

It took me 3 weeks of calling to get a site at Ft Wilderness for Thanksgiving....

It may be gone by now, but I decided to change my dates and cancelled a standard room for 11/28 - 12/2.

I'm new here too (my first post :D ) Anyway, I just tried today to book reservations for Thanksgiving week with no luck. I guess everyone had the same idea!

You may want to try Expedia. They are showing a fair amount of availability over Thanksgiving and still have some rooms at the code rate.

And keep calling.... Ya never know when they will release a block of rooms that have passed the hold date or just cancelled.... Also ask about being put on a waiting list.

I've had my two rooms at All-Stars at Disney Club rate for months!!! WooHoo!!!

With CBR, Shades and DI all closed and their guests contributing to the other resorts capacity is well down so full is not as many people as it has been.

I wonder if they will have to refurbish Mothball Century before they ever open it? :-)

Just did a search on Expedia for the entire week and there were rooms in every resort. Port Orleans French Quarter even had rooms for $85 a night available.

A problem I've had with expedia though is that it will show the rooms up until you actually try and reserve them and then it will tell you they are not available and to call the hotel directly. So don't count on them being available just because they show up in the search. bummer, I know.

A while back we were going to stay at the Poly but then found out the pool was going to be in rehab. So we called to ask to switch out ressies. At first they told us all the rooms were sold out. Then my husband said nicely...Oh come on.. I know you always keep a few rooms open just in case(for important people and such)...could you please look again? Then all of the sudden we had a room at the WL-lol.

So I'd give it another try maybe you'll get lucky!

If you really want to go keep trying, Rooms are held for tour operators (Delta, SW etc.) and they have deadlines on when they have to return the rooms or pay for them. Rooms could come into inventory.

Tammy is right, I had the same mess for Veteran's Day. Expedia kept showing rooms, but I could not book ANY of them. Wound up on priceline at the Hilton for an excellent rate!

I've heard it's good to check at the 45 day mark, 30 day mark, and 5 day mark. More rooms become available on those days. :)

That is right... Try right up till the last moment
