Sold out is sold out, right?

Never thought I'd even be considering attending MNSSHP on Halloween night, but....

After many annual Disney trips, we're taking a year off and doing Universal and Legoland. In trying to work out dates, we may be there over Halloween and could easily pop over to Disney for MNSSHP. I know all the dates towards the end sold out... So if we're dealing with the same crowd level, might as well be there actually on Halloween, right? Is the party on the 31st any different/crazier than any other sold out night?

I heard that active military with ID could buy tix for "sold out" hard ticket parties...

I've heard that too... But even on Halloween? I think I'd be too nervous to try.

I have no issue just buying the tickets ahead of time when they become available... Just wondered what that party is actually like.

Don't tickets sometimes come up on Ebay or Craigslist, probably at the last minute? I don't know if I would trust that though.

Sold out is sold out. They overpack all the parties now, so sold out means a good amount of people.

Thanks. This is what I meant. Not that I'd be trying to get tickets after it was sold out... Just asking if all sold out parties are the same.

Buying tickets from private third parties such as via eBay or Craigslist is not a good idea.

No way to prove that the tickets are good.

Here is what I found:

If your desired date is sold out you can still buy your tickets.

  • If your date with the military price is sold out you will still get the military price.
  • If you want to attend a date without the military discount which is sold out you can do that too (at the full price) with your mil ID EXCEPT 31 October.

But really, I don't think many people use that privilege, so even if a few hundred people do it, it won't really change anything. Disney just pushes the number of people up, so a sold out party now, is way more crowded then it was years ago...

I would assume the number of available tickets for any party would be the same, even on Halloween night. So, yes, "sold out" should mean the same crazy number of people no matter which party night it is.
