We just got the word that Disney exercised their ROFR on our points. It is with some sadness that we will soon no longer be part of the DVC family. We got 15 years of fun through DVC - my kids don't know what it is like to vacation at a "regular" hotel. Our youngest started college this year and we did not see that we were going to get as much use out of DVC as before.

DVC was great for our family and I recommend it to others. I also greatly enjoyed this board, there was a lot of useful information and some fun exchanges. I will still lurk from time to time, so keep it interesting DIS Boarders...

Letting go is hard to do! Glad you enjoyed your ownership. We are at 11 years now.

Bobbi:)

Glad to hear you got 15 years of enjoyment out of your membership I'm sure a lot of great memories to go with it. To bad they ROFR whoever was buying it.

I was very close to selling out a few years ago also. Actually rented to David's a year or two and then my youngest DD had a little girl. She'll be 2 in January and taking her 2nd trip next month. You are smart to get out while you have the chance ;)

We purchased in 1995 when our girls were just 5 & 6. Fast forward 12 years later. After many stays at WDW (with passes til 2000), HH & VB, plus one Big Red Boat and 3 Disney cruises. We were faced with sky rocketing college tuition, so we sadly had to sell.

My husband and I still did solo trips to WDW just not with DVC. After the girls graduated we decided to purchase again. They are 24 & 25 now and hopefully there will be grandbabies in the future. Soooooooooooooooo, weeeeeeee're baaaaack! We bought last October and have already done New Years at BWV, BLT, F&W at BWV, 7 ah-mazing days at Aualani, plus a few days coming up in Dec at VGF. So yeah, we're very happy now.

But I do know how difficult it is to sell though. But there's always a chance that you'll come back.

So, what was the resort and per point sale agreement price that Disney took back? Interested to know where Disney draws the line---
