Just made a reservation for May 2005 at SOG. Does anyone know whether I can request a new room rather than and old room? And If I can, should I? This will be our 1st time at SOG.

You can request to be in the new section, but request aren't guarenteed. We just came back Wed. and we stayed in the new section. If you like being close to the pools and this is important to you then you would probabley prefer the original rooms. The new rooms are closer to the parking garage. I think you will be pleased either way. The resort is lovely.

Thank you for the info. I guess I'll probably see if we can get a new room. We've always been "overflowed" or in the Contemp. during the rehab, so I am very excited about staying at SOG.

The newly renovated SoG is really beautiful! We stayed in the old section in May (requested new, but didn't get it). We didn't mind staying in the old as it was near the pools.

Enjoy staying at SoG as it is a really nice resort and the rooms are a nice size!
