SOG opening March?

Does anyone have a date in March that it is supposed to open? I checked the website, but it says just March 2004. Are they behind? Has anyone out there been put in the Contemporary for late March? Thanks!

We are booked to go March 4th to SOG. We haven't heard yet from them. Does that mean good or bads news. If we hear soon I'll let you know.

I finally got through to them on them phone. They are opening March 1st. They are booked solid until the middle of April. I got an overflow rate to a Disney resort for late March. Good luck!

What and where was your overflow rate?

We are booked march 12-21, but the photos on the website do not look too promising. We are concerned about our stay. I booked a back up reservation at another WDW resort.

We have got overflow rates for Mods and Deluxes. I think it is available for most resorts, depending on availibility of course. We have paid from $74-99 for a mod, depending on the season and $119 for a Woodsview at WL one Dec. Last couple trips we got the FL resident or AP rates as it was easier and they are usually about the same. But it is good to have the overflow option if need be.

We just got back from WDW, and drove by SOG on our last day to check it out. I'm sorry to say that it looks no where CLOSE to completion. They may pull out a miracle somehow, but I'd be very surprised if they're open by March.

I don't know why it's taking so long. We had reservations for our stay beginning Jan. 1st, and were really disappointed when we got our letter saying they would still be undergoing renovation. We were really looking forward to our stay there, especially while it was still "brand new."

I don't mean to be negative, but just thought I should warn people who have upcoming trips that they may still be relocated. I think a March 1st opening is being overly optimistic on their part, but you never know!

I wonder if they are working on weekends. We have reservations for March and I have no desire to stay at the Contemporary again.

We drove by on a Sunday, and there was no activity going on that we saw, but maybe they're working on Saturdays?

I agree with you about the Contemporary. We won't stay there again either

We LOVED the CR and would live there if they would let us.

I made a reservation at POR for our march trip. I did not want to count on SOG being open or worse, they not opening on time and sticking us off-site somewhere.

I need to remember to cancel my SOG reservation, maybe I'll just send a fax...
